"BBC WORLD"
When I watched Extra Time the other day with David Eades... I find it much easier to listen to him rather than boring old rob bonnet.

You may not like his style, but I think it's unfair to call it ham-fisted drivel. His meteorological knowledge is at least as good as the rest of the BBC Weather team, his profile on the BBC Weather website proves that, and he is highly skilled in explaining complicated weather patterns to the layman as it were. His description of a weather front as "fizzling out", "like pulling a piece of string apart" gives those with little knowledge of the technical side of the weather an idea of what processes are occurring and what that means for them.
I think he's easily the best weather forecaster on the BBC, second to none, and it's great that he's being given so many BBC1 shifts. We don't discuss him much anymore simply because of this, it's not particularly new now, but he brings something quite special and unique to the weather forecasts.
Give me Dan rather than boring Darren Bett or Jay Wynne any day.
I agree 100% he is by far the best weather presenter around.. and he makes the weather easy to understand... I like him... hes also been on BBC World alot too... which is good because thats the only place I get to see him.
Dan Corbett.

But are you any the wiser about the weather? It's unspecific, ham-fisted drivel.
The guy should be on the stage - where people could choose whether or not to pay and go to see him perform - but not in front of a weather map.

All that sounds like some sort of gay tale.

Sounds good.. and I hope its good too. My guess is that tv 3's current affairs set will by far be the cheapest just like everything else they have. Although I think they did spend alot on their current weather graphics package, the best around.

from herald.co.nz:
"Since he stepped over the threshold, Prime's Albany premises have been transformed. The tins of rat poison that studded disused offices have gone. Now there's a state of the art recording studio, designed in part by Holmes himself. His guest will sit closer than on his old TVNZ Holmes show. The banks of lights that will bring this room alive, are the most flattering, and cool to sit under, that you can buy. There's all sorts of fancy equipment that will allow for what Holmes describes as a more interactive style."
I pick that there will be quite a bit of dark blue.

Yes I have noticed this myself, it must only be a matter of time I think as it could be the case, that World may be tweaking the software to their own presentation requirements, hence we are still watching the old 'TOG' in action.
Well hopefully something is done about it quick smart and I would like to see changes like N24

Has anyone else noticed that the BBC World ticker has been stuttering a lot on Wednesday? Every few seconds, it seems to freeze for about half a second. Will BBC World's TOG be upgraded like News 24's was, which supposedly has a much smoother ticker?
