Redcoats

fusionlad posted:
I've had the misfortune to stumble across the programme.

It is the worst docu-soap I've ever seen. Even the narator, Andy Crane, sounds bored.

There were no good characters, no storylines, no good footage. Abosolute tosh.

LOL so damn true - the fat bird that thinks she's the's the most good looking thing since sliced bread. Every time I watch there's also someone trying to help reunited a lost kid. Also the tune between every different 'scene' in the programme, has got NOTHING to do with the main theme tune - which again - is ****.

Funny late night crap.

Auction World tv

Did anyone see the mobile phone Adam Freeman from Bid Up was selling the other day? It was crap. They said the guide was £230. It didn't have a keypad, how the hell are you meant to send a text?

I note at one point to dial a number he had he voice activation on to say "zero, seven, seven, six, nine..." etc. Surely you don't do this for every character of the text message?

Also, I'm sure the auction arrow increased even when the required amount of people arent in the auction - maybe a ploy by Bid Up to raise the price without getting shafted for a quid every time?!?

Which is the best Television Channel?

I'm a "stupid" ITV1 viewer - it's my most popular button so I'll say ITV1. Other channels have some good programmes, but not enough for me to call them my favourite channel.

If we like American TV programmes so much...

Glorfindel posted:
Sorry to have to tell you this, chrisb, but the intelligent, educated British audience generally prefers good American programming.

Just what nursery rhyme are you getting this statement from?

The French Tennis pictures today

How much ridiculous movement do the French TV company who are producing this coverage need within a tennis court? Spinning views above the player, tilted shots of the crowd, a TV attached to a zip line which nearly knocks Tim out it gets so close, merging pictures of the courts crowd with a picture of Tim in the sky - it's all too much, and I seriously feel pissed after watching 30 minutes of it! It's like watching CDUK.

So glad we've got quality TV sports coverage here.

F.ri.e.n.d.s

Its a short term memory programme. Same style jokes each time. I actually started to get into it only recently, but then I began to notice a pattern of the same type of gags - just proves that all American TV is far from authentic and original.

It's just like Sex In The City - always the same. Cue that blonde womans annoying accent: "I went down the road to have a latté at the place in the mall, and as I crossed the road, little did I know I would be sleeping with the guy who was playing the tamborine by the sidewalk". That kind of crap week in week out.

Plllllease.

Big Brother 5

Agreed boringusername, but then again BB viewers aren't the most learned types so let them have their cake and eat it, but I think I'll watch the news. (It's great for 12-17 age group though).

CD:UK Presenter Poll

Granted it's a hell of a lot better than TOTP(S) - probably een TOTP - but I still feel it's far from a proper music show yet. I used to enjoy The Chart Show, with just videos, who had dedicated sports for different types of music too - yes, it was only videos, but something like that with live acts would be good.

I remember something on ITV a while back called The Noise with Andy Peters, that I thoguht was awesome but it should have been for an hour.

Any archive footage of this lying about on the net?

CD:UK Presenter Poll

Personally, I don't give a toss - the show will never be about music.

Cat is annoying, teenage girls screaming during and after songs, constant clapping in the background, is it live/isn't it live, "star" predictions with the little one from McFly...

"Top show".

Enough is Enough ITV

If I was running ITV I'd be putting ratings winners on all the time, so from a business perspective 6 times a week is great - for viewers though, yes, it's overkill.

Look how quickly Millionaire lost its shine when they started to show it all the time.
