The man arrested has been interviewed by the Sunday Mirror (in yesterday's paper) and Five Live are reporting that he's given an interview to the BBC (presumably over the weekend as well)- this is about to aired.

EDIT- it appears he requested that this interview shouldn't reach the air, but now he's been arrested they seem to be ignoring this request.

Interesting development myspace being used to provide pictures and infomation on the suspect.

Sky just said that the profile is no longer 'workig' yet its still Is up- I wonder how long it will remain active for.

Sky News

Is the lack of use of all the presentation areas and full angles is down to cost and ease of use? Is the crew on the studio floor, like the number of presenters, less now than it was a year ago?

It costs to have crew to operate and move the jibs around all the time.

Thats what I thought but I wasn't actually. I've looked at a few pictures and it would seem to fit i.e. it sticks out a bit.


I dont think the Sunrise balcony is on that map (they've included the toilets but not that). It could be because its part of the studio?

Changes at CBBC

It looks like a downsized version of the broom cupboard (desks and chairs are so expencive!). This sort of green screen works good for weather and occasional news pieces.

But for something like CBBC I think they need something physical or a better designed background.

Anything to make it look less cheep and local cable channel circa 1990...

The new desk does seem a bit too big for the little balcony area...looks like a squeeze to fit behind it.

Do they still use the area in front of the main news desk? It used to be used all the time for the Sky Report.
