…and finally

My 8,070th, and final post here at TV Forum.

I joined this forum as a 16 year old who found this place a welcome distraction from my GCSE revision. 20 years later, I'd like to think that my presence here was a welcome one, even though I made some mistakes along the way.

To those of you joining me at the new forum, I look forward to welcoming you next week. If not, take care and look after yourselves.

Thanks for watching.

Rob Francis, TV Forum, Basingstoke.

£835. Wow!

Thank you to everyone who has donated. That is an incredible amount of money.

…and finally

But the big question is, over on TV Live Forum... will we be able to discuss GB News? Laughing

From the rules:

Quote:
Discussion of events in the news is welcome, provided it has something to do with television presentation. Your political interests are of no interest to anyone here, talk of a political nature will result in thread closures and warnings issued.

Thank You Asa!

Nice job Rob, Brekkie and everyone who's donated or shared.

Agree - I think sjhoward should also get a mention for putting forward the same suggestion in the 'and finally' thread.

I never saw that, so I'll edit the original post.
DE88, Brekkie and scottishtv gave kudos

Thank You Asa!

As you are probably all aware by now, TV Forum is to close on the 31st of March. As a token of our appreciation for the work that Asa has done with the forum, it was suggested that we raise some money for a charity he supports. After a chat with him, he has chosen the Teenage Cancer Trust, a fantastic charity that exists to improve the cancer experience of young people aged 13–24.

If you would like to donate, please do so. The link is https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/thankyouasa

I know that times are very tough at the moment, so please do not worry if you can't afford to donate anything at this time.

A big thank you must go to Brekkie and sjhoward for the idea of doing this.

Will anyone be recording Pam’s final show on Friday? I’m intrigued to see who pays tribute to her.

I will be recording Friday's programme.

The Sky News Thread

Any further update on the rebrand? Is it still potentially going ahead on Monday (29th) or now confirmed as postponed?

It's not happening on the 29th.

TV Live Forum | TV Live

I've seen a few posts saying "I hope you don't move over to the new forum" and that sort of thing.

I want to make it clear that as long as people follow the rules, all are welcome at TV Live Forum. It will be run fairly and honestly, and everyone will have a fresh start. There will be no favouritism, everyone will be treated the same.

Have you been in a TV audience?

Umm, St Mary's Hall 😉

Have you been in a TV audience?

Never been in an audience, but I got to watch Mike Bushell do a live segment on BBC Breakfast in 2019...
