GMB

Hope you'll enjoy these in the spirit they were created, with mild amusement.

Someone posted they were hoping the LWT chimes would feature in the final GMB from TLS... thought I'd see what could be done. GMB promos from the past four years cut to the 2017 theme with 2014 and 2015 strings, dings and horns mixed in.

GMB Today idea that I never fully developed.

I'm really glad to see the back of desk mk2, because it looked like a bumper car and was also the wrong scale, spoiling the original set design. It made me grumpy. Enjoy sharing your thoughts on all the newness throughout the day on Monday.

GMB TOTH Verbosity Extinguisher

This is for fans of a top-of-the-hour sequence that starts precisely at the top-of-the-hour. You know at an awards ceremony when the recipient won't shut up and they drown them out with music... Smile

Dancing on Ice

UBox posted:
Christopher Dean has also said they will broadcast from a custom-built site with studio and practice rinks. Does anyone know of any planning applications that are relevant? Seems like a large expensive for 1 series a year.

They could utilise the site to house the displaced shows during the rebuild.

Superb work pip2, particularly love the "authority" one! Just imagine what presentation would be like if we could get our hands on a channel Very Happy

This Morning

Phillip presenting with Rylan this morning as Holly threw up on her cat, so a last minute stand-in was required. Phillip quipped that he'd rather do it on his own when he heard Rylan had been drafted in.

GMB sunbeam titles

Thanks for your comments Smile

One word Phenomenal! The transition is fantastic, your slight remixes to the theme tunes are brilliant. One thing I do want to ask is the Daybreak 1 theme completley remixed by yourself or was it part of the daybreak package but never played on air?

Sounded like the closing theme mixed into the title theme

You're right watchingtv, with the '3 sec web back ref sting' for a bit of extra oomph!

GMB sunbeam titles

Worked on this about six months ago originally and, thanks to the generosity of others in the Christmas Presents thread, (thank you! Very Happy ) finished it off in January. With tweaks imminent I thought now might be a good time to post for amusement's sake.

I'm hoping there's a new transition in tomorrow's titles, as I've never been a fan of the logo flying towards me like a custard pie as it does. In this tweak to the current titles, the GMB 'sunbeam' forms as the sun's rays burst through the ITV logo (capturing the essence of the bright, colourful nature of both the channel and the content to follow), and then remains on screen as we transition into the studio, until it settles in its position bottom left.

There are eight versions to choose from, the visuals remaining the same but each with a different theme (chronologically ordered apart from the last one) because I'm a pres geek and that's what pres geeks do.

... and in a Freaky Friday type switcheroo, ITV News titles accompanied by the GMB theme, not retimed or fiddled with in any way apart from a few sunrisey type flares and glares, it's as if they were made for each other!
