Sound of Music Live

Interesting watching the production currently on ITV, the sets are of a high quality. So far there doesn't appear to be any major errors. Care seems to gave been taken to avoid camera reflecting in the glass/windows. I'm guessing the mics are either hidden in the costumes or throughout the sets.

A lens hood popped through the double doors from the lobby into the anteroom early on but that's all I've noticed.

Channel 4 Christmas 2015 Presentation

Funny how tastes differ isn't it!? Personally I don't think that ditching the full logo in favour of its constituent parts buried underground or poking out of rocks or generally just strewn about the place is impressive, attractive or progressive. As for the bumpers and holders... all very flat, boring and childish I think. The blocks are just that, blocks that look like they're rattling about on different coloured tea trays, apart from the christmas ones, which look like they were made with this.

But that's just my opinion.

ITV Idents (Post Christmas)

Or maybe just maybe they want to shout about the fact that long running soap Emmerdale originates from that building?

Should have followed their genre promos and gone with a "Where Emmerdale lives" sign Smile

Good Morning Britain - 2015 Refresh/Tweaks

Wearing a kilt on St.David's day... whatever next, a christmas tree at christmas time, pumpkins at hallowe'en, leeks Rolling Eyes and daffodils on the 23rd March! Rolling Eyes[/quote]

Saint David's Day is March for a start... and what's leeks and daffodils got to do with March 23rd? Rolling Eyes

You're right. I'm wrong. I'm sorry if I caused any offence. I'll leave you to your discussion.

Errrrrrrrr haven't they done the kilt thing before? Wink

Yes, they did it on Daybreak IIRC. It was mentioned on an episode of Russell Howard's Good News.

Adrian did it for Lorraine, Ross King did it for something else and ended up on Good News.

Ross King definitely did it on Daybreak, as Dan Lobb and Helen Fospero were seen in the studio. I have that episode on my hard drive, will try and find it when I get home from work.

Lorraine, weekdays on ITV

Lorraine presented all this week except for Friday where it was Fiona Phillips which I thought was a surprise.

Normally I thought the plan was that Lorraine for Friday was recorded on Thursday after the show that day. But it seemed Fiona was the presenter for Friday.

It makes me think that has the prerecorded programmes been scrapped now? (geekiness comes out now) I don't think they have because the time on Friday's shows are slightly different then the live shows. And Friday's show with Fiona did have the dodgy time which made me think it was prerecorded.

If Friday's show was prerecorded why couldn't Lorraine do it? Maybe we'll just have to wait for next week to see if Fiona is back on Friday or for the week.

Was the programme crammed to rafters with 'B*l**ck Friday' deals by any chance?

Allegra Stratton joins ITV News as national editor

Is starting to feel like a flight for money. The BBC seems unable to retain great people because o f how the commercial media, and the Government are trying to dismantle it. It may make sense for the individuals, but it is a blow to the BBC.

You're being overdramatic. The BBC will never disappear.

The extreme right wing would love nothing more than the BBC to disappear. Even the Conservatives would love to have the BBC hamstrung, much like PBS is in the US. If there's one thing I've learned in 25 years around the media, it's never say never.

People didn't expect Thames or TV-am to lose their licences back in 1991, but it happened. Channel 4 was not expected to ever be privatised, but it is on the agenda for this government. The BBC shouldn't be dismantled, but the right wing would love nothing more than to see it disappear. Vigilance is required.

I would like to see the BBC vanish and I am not right-ring. I just feel the BBC think they should have everything and they take the viewers for granted.

Izzy whizzy Ben, best get busy then, (delete BBC apps from your devices, BBC channels from the EPG on your TV, and don't visit bbc.co.uk) Hey presto! You're living the dream.
