I think he did,it would seem that more analytical based newsreading rather than rolling news suits his talents more.

ITV News Channel - Return Schedule

steddenm posted:
ITV News Channel in Dorset:

Bournemouth (Town Centre) - NO SIGNAL, however all the other channels are there.

Bournemouth (nr Airport) - BACK ON

Bournemouth (Swanage) - NO SIGNAL, whole DTT off air (14:33)

Bournemouth (Poole) - NO SIGNAL, ITV3, E4 and UKTV Gold off also (14:33)

Christchurch, Weymouth, Dorchester, Dundle Dor, Shaftsbury and West Bay have ITVNC but it's bad aspect ratio and poor quality sound.

only noticed problems with aspect ratio here in Southbourne area of Bournemouth. I live near the Water Tower at the top of Seafield Road, I think the Tower may have a relay but I dont know bout these kind of things.

From the roof of my flat you will find Rowridge as the crow fly's with AFAIK no obstacles.

To be honest not missing much from the ITVNC.

A question (if a bit naive one!) I cant pinpoint where, but in deepest West Dorset where I used to live in Westcountry terroitry their is what appears to be a family of masts on top of a hill, visable from Colmers Hill and as I found out the other day nr Crewkerne, if its TV whats its name? I have had a look in the OS Map and I can only assume its near Morecombelake.
Though I could be talking complete twaddle!!

Three stations evacuated in London

Bit of topic but Breaking News this hour is explosions in Sharm El Sheikh-Egypt, 4 Car bombs reported.
N24 has coverage now with Tim Wilcox.
Nothing on NC and Sky at time of writing infact Sky showing CBS News.
Grey and blood red location maps being used which look very sharp, not seen this before on N24 myself.

ITV - Page 2

Quite why Aliens would choose Eastbourne is beyond me must be that fact the the Pier their looks lovely in sunshine.

Anyways to the mock and yes it looks very nice my only problem is with the date and time being shown on the aston, I would much prefer just the time and for it to be BOLDER

Red and Black would make it clash with BBC News a bit,to the untrained eye anyway.
prehaps keep the black but change the red theme or find a way to distance a bit more from BBC News.
Other than that very good.

New BBC Idents

Not bad at all, thou I am not sure bout the Triangle concept, I think if you were to square the triangle and soften the edges it will improve them no end.
Nice ideas thou.

Oh before I go I like the idea of Subtitles avalible, maybee you can expand that with something like 'contains interactive features' or 'caution strong content'.
Just a thought.
