You are mentioning the Night Time which I am talking about, but the problem is that there were several Overnight services on ITV throughout the the late 1980's and early 1990's dependent on where you lived. The clip you have put up here is the version which came from Granada, but went out to Tyne Tees, Grampian and I think TSW. The IT* Night Time service came from Thames and LWT, that went out to London and probably Anglia and later HTV, when they abandoned Night Club. Though TVS did their own service called Late Night Late, which went out on Channel aswell. Central, had it's own service, as did Yorkshire with Night Shift and I think that Scottish had an overnight service too. But most of these did disappear by 1994, when Carlton bought Central, Granada bought LWT, Late Night Late had gone too, this I believe being the time when the neon people came into the most of the regions.

Dead Ringers and Idents
I thought they were pushing the boundaires a bit tonight, but as ever the quality of the show was very high. The best bits being IMODoctor Who/Speed Dating

The second one being the neon people, I took russnet's advice and looked on PP at the NT clips and they seem to be different than what I remember. The idents are exactly what I remember but the font they use are different, as it looks like it was controlled from Carlton or something, but the neon people were the best. As the thing was that I never knew the proper name of the segment, I assumed it was called Late Night. But it seemed like a totally different channel compared to Granada. I have a promo on tape, which explodes the words MMMMMMore, with the Mbop (sp?), by Hansen playing and another promo which has It's like no other Television. These were very good, the music they used on the idents was very Night time too. I also have on tape a bit of continuity which has the end of an ITN News bulletin, with the creepy music at the end, to an neon people ident then into the Teletext era of ITV Nightscreen. I actually taped more than I think, I taped a GMTV link, but I think the tape I used is a bit knackered. (I knew I should have made a copy!) But the peak status of ITV Night Time is well and truly over.
The kooky nighttime disco people!
I always remember that Granada only ever had two proper night time services, the first one being NIGHT TIME, which lasted until 1994, which only seemed to have consisted of Wrestling, I did have some from this era on tape, but I taped it over some time ago!

I noticed that too, there was no behind the scenes segment that there usually is sandwiched inbetween the clips. If you dont know what I mean on the newsreaders programme it followed Alistair Stewart and London Tonight, the weather programme followed Chrissy (Ried?) in her training as an ITV weather forcaster.
I only managed to catch the second half of the programme, though however ridiculous the programme might have sound, it was infact very good, though as you say it is different than the other one's which have been shown, especially with the behind the scenes
Childrens Presenter - BTS of SM:tv Live (Ant and Dec era) and BTS of finding two new presenters for CITV
Quiz Show host - BTS of Family Fortunes, BTS of Countdown
Weather Presenter - BTS of ITV Weather and Chrissy Reidy training
Soap Actor - BTS of Crossroads and Coronation Street
Though many more of these programmes have been made, and it is a shame they don't repeat them more often.
It should'nt happen to...

This seems to be very different to the other "It Shouldn't Happen" shows. It's not in an Alright on the Night style and not split into segments. It just seems to be reporters reviewing covering the event. I think it probably should be "It Shouldn't Happen to a Royal".

Channel 4 Stand-by programmes
I agree this a weird thread to talk about. But I noticed that the Cricket was rained off today so Channel 4 reverted to a different schedule, that being of a Film, Montel, Pet Rescue, Fifteen To One, Britain's Best Home, Friends and Countdown. But all of the programmes they show are repeats, as Friends was from Series 1 and Fifteen To One was a Friday edition from ages ago. But what I did notice that Countdown was NOT a repeat nor was it a Friday episode or the episode to go out next Tuesday. It was an episode especially recorded, with two former contestants, but the show obviously didn't refer to that day it was being shown and at the end Richard said See you soon. But this isn't the first time they have done this either as they did it on a Bank Holiday Monday not so long back, but the contestants were a husband and wife team which had been on before. Though what I want to know is that how many episodes have they made of these special Countdown's? They better hope that the cricket is rained off so they get to show them. But if they can do this with Countdown, shouldn't they be able to do this with Fifteen to One or something. Or does Channel 4 have the budget to make extra Countdown's which are only shown during rained off Cricket. Though I much preferred it when they showed episodes from 1992 when the Cricket rained off or when it finished early.

BTW I believe there is a YBF thread already open.
You've Been Framed
A friend of my mum's told her and told me that she went to see a recording of this new YBF and she said it was poor and rather crap than the old YBF. But what I was told that they film the end first and they get told when to laugh and when to applause. The show will never be as good as the time when Beadle presented it, though I would rather watch this guy rather than Lisa Riley. (Though I much prefer Kirsty Gallacher anyday, no matter how crap she is at presenting it)BTW I believe there is a YBF thread already open.

But even when you go into the page which lists all the regions it still has the proper names, except the London ones, which are ITV1 London Weekday and ITV1 London Weekend. But I can see some of the names, especially the Granada names being safe for now.
ITV.com now, next, later
The guide you see on ITV.com in fact is produced by TV Times and not ITV (Carlton or Granada or whatever) themselves, so the data they recieve is from TV Times, though when you go into the in-depth listings it does list the ITV stations by ITV1 _______ (Proper name goes there)But even when you go into the page which lists all the regions it still has the proper names, except the London ones, which are ITV1 London Weekday and ITV1 London Weekend. Though I must admit I have watched Chuklevision once or twice this week. This is obviously a stunt by CBBC for doing theme weeks and they are obviously copying other Kids Channels, such as Toon Disney showing endless Recess and Nickelodeon showing U-Pick Live, with endless Sabrina The Teenage Witch, but CBBC needs more than Chucklevision and S Club 7 to save it's butt.
Though the summer holidays on terrestrial have taken a down turn in a way. With the BBC showing as much as they can, ITV showing regular daytime schedules. Even Channel 4 made several attempts pre-T4 to fill the 9.30am-12.00am, possibly the most famous being The Bigger Breakfast. Though in the morning's now I usually watch T4 for Friends and five for The Wright Stuff and Terry and Gaby. (I haven't watched it as much with Terry being away) I hope Sky One's daytime schedule gets better soon!
What's happened to the kids holidays?
One of the problems now is the CBBC and CBeebies divide, as time has to be given to both services on BBC 2 throughout the day, though I am in favout of CBBC being on throughout all morning, as CBeebies hogs most of Daytime BBC2 throughout the year anyway.Though I must admit I have watched Chuklevision once or twice this week. Yup, the spoof BBC One and BBC Two continuity is on the DVD, all of Series 1 and the Pilot episode too. Though if you watch Episode 6 of Series 1 they have managed to get a box less version of last year's BBC One Christmas ident. There's also a glimpse of the balloon in the pilot episode, for those who miss the balloon.
