Natasha's weekend bulletins

winifred posted:
News room posted:
Natasha gets a pasting in today's Daily Mail - Typical of the paper who has until now written her up as the new'BBC darling'. They say she bluffed a few interviews with various stars as well as pulling faces when her make up artist was not about.

Do you honestly believe that rubbish. Natasha is a 32 year old woman. Do you honestly think she would be pulling faces behind someones back. Some people. Rolling Eyes

It doesnt say she was making faces behinds someones back. She was complaining about her lack of make up and she needed more. Maybe she was pulling faces to test out the flexibility of the make up, or was it all that rain did it wash it away.

ITV News

An all female presenter line up.

An interesting idea to try out. Pity it was such a dull news day, anyway nice to see some of the regional anchors once again.
I'd like to see Joanne Malin have a go on weekend ITVNC as shes done it before on sky.

Nina Hossain - ITV News

Londoner posted:
Mary Nightingale was announcing announcing the nominations for the Tio Pepe Evening Standard ITV London Restaurant Awards today, so presumably it's not long till she returns to the Evening News.

I'd prefer Nina to stay with ITV news. I don't think that highly of Mary's style of presentation and mannerisms. I hope there is somewhere ITV can fit Nina into their team for the future.

Five News

The only interesting thing on 5 News recently is the sky newsreaders doing the very late updates.
They had Kevin Owen on earlier in the week and tonight it was Anjali Rao.
It would be better if they had her on regularly.

Five News

Good to see Louisa Preston presenting on the local BBC news , it would have been a waste of her experience if she was kicking her heels around London just doing reports. She hasn't changed her style at all and looks very much at home working for the Beeb.

As for julie etchingham and her shifts on Five News , i think she needs to be a bit more livelier . Shes too softly spoken compared to the others . So wake up Julie !! and be more animated , its the news not an advert for Nytol.

Was there a communication breakdown at sky yesterday both Charlie and Julie said ' Laras next with the weather ' and it was Francis Wilson. It looks a bit poor when that happens twice.

What's Charlie Stayt going to do tonight, I wonder!

Kirsty Young in fact. Her and Julie appear to have re-appeared in their usual roles today after a week or so off (presumably preparing for the new look)

How long has Kirsty been off? Whenever I've switched over to Five News, it's always Charlie Stayt.

Jonathan H posted:

Not sure when she 'left' ITN but it looks as though she has come back for today only to present the last full length evening programmes.

A case of first one in last one out. Kirsty had a bit of a twinkle in her eye when she opened up the 5.30 show tonight.
She made a point of thanking everyone at five news at the end of the 7pm show. Behind her through the coloured glass the news team were waving at the cameras. A great way to finish.

Lara Lewington seemed a bit 'enigmatic' with her forecast this evening, I wonder what shes doing next year.
