Also starring .... ..... as ....

There is a set style for credits on films - they generally all follow that style.

Why should A # Production be one of the first captions? The would refer to the producer whose project it is and who has spent time making the picture from start to finish, often long before the film's stars would have been cast.

Strange SKY scheduling

I would say both Sky One and Sky Two were scheduled together, but on more of an automated basis, for example... a programme which TXs on Friday at 8pm on One would get repeated on Sunday at 8pm on Two, regardless of what it was.

So you occaisionally get clashes of genre purely because its done in this way.

The scheduling of programmes on Sky Three is entirely separate, it's basically a channel for Freeview only.

Nickelodeon: "Coming Soon"

Jonathan posted:
Don't let it bother you, give it a few years and Nickelodeon should be off our screens. In the UK anyway.

What rubbish! Nickelodeon does very well.

And it seems this "Coming Soon" has started a discussion, even prompting phone calls, so it's turned out to be a successful campaign.

GMTV Hours Extended?

The reason why the TX hours of GMTV/TV-am are bizarrely 0600- 0925 was to fit in regional news from 0925-0930 when ITV first began TV-am in the 80s.

BBC wants licence fee of RPI + 2.3%

I think the licence fee is still valid - for now. Apart from anything else, it's great to use bbc.co.uk and not have to see any adverts/pop-ups.

The X Factor

(I wonder if Louis put him through because he is irish Rolling Eyes ).

I think you're right Jez, but not because Louis is Irish but because the show also simulcasts in the Republic - there are two Irish acts this year, the other is one of Simon's groups.

They've got to have something for the Irish Rep viewers to get those phone votes rolling in!

It must be busy at The London Studios lately, what with Parky and Frank Skinner being back as well, presuming that these are both made at TLS?

UKTV to launch Sport Channel

I think it's more likely to be unusual sports that don't get a lot of coverage. All the rights for big sports belong to other broadcasters.

I don't think they'll replace Bright Ideas.. it's the Freeview taster channel for UKTV.

New CBBC idents this weekend!

Not only that, but Degrassi High!

Loving the way the programmes have their "set" and episode numbers too, great technical info there! "Hollyoaks VI Set 1, Episode 075"!

Also, note "Hollywood 7" becomes "S Club 7 in Hollywood" internationally...
