CiTV - Safe Areas

Well both CBBC and CITV have had credit squeezes for years. The majority of the time, when CITV had IVC there would be presenter links, but often there would be trails.

CBBC have always squeezed credits when its presentation is live, often running trails within those squeezes.

Unusual ITV 1 - Trails and Menu Style

Very good, although they would never use the 24 hour clock. It's hated in this country, except by BBC News 24 it seems.

On knightmare.com there's what appears to be a Thames regional opt-out from 1992. Phillip Elsmore introduces Cartoon Time over the CITV ident.

This would have been on a Friday afternoon when Thames used to use a filler to take it up to the 5.15pm handover to LWT. As you indicated, it wasn't an "official" CITV junction.

Normally Home and Away would run from 5.10pm - 5.40pm at that time, the two stations would switch-over during the first segment. But when H&A was not showing, they filled up till 5.15pm when LWT would take over.

TOTP 13 November 2005

Or even more simply, play a pre-recorded Top of the Pops.

TOTP was not live this week but recorded last Sunday with voiceovers/chart positions added at lunchtime on the day of TX.

Rapture TV

This channel is set to launch next Monday on Sky. But wasn't there a Rapture TV before? If so, why did it go and come back again? Confused

The X Factor

The Nurse posted:
I noticed that once again the montages used after the performances were not from the live show but presumably the afternoon rehearsals - this week they just consisted of straight-on rostrum shots, no technocranes or anything - presumably so we can't see the empty auditorium. Or maybe the crane-ops weren't even there for some reason. I'm sure in previous series of shows of this type they've used clips from the live programme (with the possible exception of the last one).

They are from the actual show but they are just the front on camera which has been iso'd to tape.. it helps them edit the montage fast, no jump cuts or anything.
