Kylie has Cancer

basically the news is all around the corner, even US/Canada.

btw, "i believe in you" didn't reach #1 but managed to stay inside top 5 for at least 3-4 weeks. not considered as #1 but any singles can be considered a big seller if it managed to stay inside top5 for 2 weeks+.

Olympics 2004 on the BBC

NBC didn't air it live. It was aired on the prime time, which the ceremony ended 5-7hrs after.

And looking at the details for broadcasts on NBC - is America one of the few countries in the world where the Opening Ceremony isn't broadcast live?

I think Indonesia is the only country that wasn't taking the Opening Ceremony Live. At least thats what Bruce Macavaney (Seven Network Commentator) said during the opening ceremony this morning, and he's pretty reliable with his information and stuff, but who knows...perhaps NBC did delay it?

CNN/US Major Aston changes!

The tab is similar to CNN International's.

Hopefully this is not the temporarily and will stays permanently.

chiguy33 posted:

By the way if the aston is on screen a little tab will pop up. For a US Election story a little tab is there with the words America Votes. I guess that way the aston is not changing back and forth from the person's name back to America Votes and to a factoid then back to America Votes...so the opted to use the discreet tab.

CNN/US Major Aston changes!

I think the move is more view-friendly. Sometimes it is kind of distracting to see a flashing animation on their news tickers.

The smaller size ticker and astons looks more comfortable to me.

Taiwan media broadcasted the "Beheaded" video

obviously it's gonna be everywhere on the internet, but the problem is "is it appropriate to broadcast it during the newscast over and over"?

I REALLY hate HTV West posted:
It's pretty freely available on Kazza and other p2p networks ...

Taiwan media broadcasted the "Beheaded" video

Looks like Taiwan's news channel is the only country/stations in the world to broadcast the entire "beheaded" video of American civilian Nic Berg.

In Canada, there's certain hours that shows Taiwan's updated news, and last night, they showed the video. I didn't watch it, but I heard the horrifying scream.

BBC World's news ticker

Not sure if the other Canadian members here watch the BBC feed on CBC.

It is funny to see both CBC and BBC's newsticker running at the same time.

And then suddenly CBC decided to drop their ticker so it wouldn't be too distracting.

BBC World's news ticker

I noticed that BBC World seems to be showing the news ticker regularly on the newscast.

I would like to know does the newsticker always on every hour during the newscast? Because I thought they didn't run the newsticker on certain hours.
