Oh yes, that person, they're so mature... not.
They do seem to have removed most of the childish thumbnails now, but some are still there.
…and finally

Both shows were Yorkshire productions, presumably with a lot of shared crew, maybe some of them were responsible for them being kept so long?

Emmerdale was one of the last shows still using them. Coronation Street had stopped using them in 1999.

And as I said, first sighting of the set version of the Dingle's house today- you can quite easily tell the difference.

Max and Lily have only appeared in the Christmas day episode since lockdown, if that counts, which has stood out due to the large amount of scenes that have been set at the Platts.
Coronation Street
Incidentally, I was trying to work out which characters still haven’t returned since production resumed after the first lockdown. I’m thinking Beth, Izzy and Gemma’s quads. I guess you could count Norris, but he’s only an occasional visitor these days anyway. I’m sure there must be someone I’ve forgotten about...

That's the sort of thing I would have dragged myself up to watch if I'd been old enough and known about its existence at the time... sadly this was only a few weeks after my 4th birthday, so no chance of me getting up and turning the TV on that early at that age without being scalded and sent back to bed (which did happen a fair few times when I was younger- would have been around this time I got sent back to bed watching an episode of Heathcliff that was shown before the Channel 4 Daily!).

Just saw Belle born today, so presumably we'll be seeing the Dingle's house move from location to a studio set, as the move was done with the reasoning that the location was too cold for a baby.As was typical for soaps too, she looked nothing like a new born baby and was suprisingly clean, especially for a birth that was done in the middle of a pig shed with no preparation.

EastEnders
Somehow I failed to notice that! Though something similar happened to a 1992 episode, which had characters dancing to nothing.

There was a proper extended version theme tune at the end of today's (hour long) episode, whereas with the 1994 theme whenever there was an hour long episode with extended credits, they just looped the usual short credit theme (badly).
