RTE one needs a major overhaul Full stop. how do people in Ireland put up with it.
RTÉ One needs to get a new look soon, why in the lastest batches was there no graphics in the scenes. Could they not have the RTÉ One logo animate a bit. At the moment the idents look like they could have been put done in moviemaker. If it gets a new look it we will in another 2 months as they always rebrand in Autumn season. TV3 idents are very good, like the old 1990s BBC TWO ident, its just the music that needs to get done up, for example the dog ident only has 3 notes.
Which will be the next major channel to get a new look?
I'm sure you only meant the UK channels but RTÉ One is in need a refresh badly, the program trailer end caps are looking almost embarrassing at this stage.

The Rocks ident was the last to be introduced in October 2006. They badly need to get a few more and withdraw some of the existing idents, to prevent the batch from getting boring.
I think when you have a good ident set that they should be added to instead of withdrawn. I remember when BBC2 had their classic ident period before the robotic 2 came in and they they introduced some new ones like Excalibur and withdrew Silk!!
Silk is such a timelessly beautifully simple ident with haunting music. I think they should keep all of the current Channel 4 idents.
I've not seen it. I haven't seen the one with beercrates on Channel 4 either, just on a website.
The idents I think should be replaced are the Pigeon ident and the Simpsons ident, because they they don't have the same theme as the others. The bales and market ident are very short, the are getting very repetitive during daytime viewing.

Would be a real shame if Sky 1, 2 and 3 lost their current idents. It looks like it might go that way since the 1 shown here is different...
I wouldn't be too worried, that picture was just more than likely a quick sample, that was uploaded to the site by mistake, the new sky1, 2 and 3 idents I doubt will go since they cost so much to make and so many new ones were made lately

I don't have Sky, so couldn't give a definitive answer, but I'm pretty sure they use the same idents.
