Coronavirus | Television News Coverage

Would if even be on BBC1 if it wasn't about London?

It's not all about London today, it's also the South East and possibly East Anglia going into a new "tier 4". Chances are there are some changes affecting all of England too.

Coronavirus | Television News Coverage

Appears they brought Wreck-it Ralph forwards to 13:55, except in Scotland where it is going out as planned followed by Sportscene Results and they are not taking the press conference on BBC One Scotland.

Who'd be a scheduler today?
They'll need to find a 35 minute filler instead of Wreck-it Ralph, and then Final Score is due on at 16:30, which will probably be moved to BBC Two messing up the schedule there.

There are differences in Wales on both BBC One and BBC Two, just to complicate things. I guess Scotland will have to put Sportscene Results on the BBC Scotland channel.

The Brexit Effect

Some of those Global stations that have been removed are on DAB in Malta.

Really?? Which ones exactly? And how on Earth do the signal of the Global stations even reaches Malta?

There's a list of DAB stations available in Malta at http://www.wohnort.org/dab/malta.html

CNN International & Domestic

Quest Means Business and First Move are now almost totally full of US stories. They can't be considered as global programmes anymore. Waste of time. I used to love QMB when it was a proper digest of the global business day. Since it moved to NY from London, it has gradually got more and more US focused.
Connect the World does some Middle East stuff, but most of the news they cover is US based or has US links.

Connect the World was quite good leading on Brexit today.

According to ICDB, BT Sport took world feed commentary, Phil Blacker, for the originally scheduled PSG v Basaksehir match on Tuesday, but on Wednesday had their own commentary with Seb Hutchinson for the resumed match while Phil Blacker was on the world feed again.

International News Presentation: Past and Present

I would like to know if ARTE in France and Germany has the exact programming schedule, or it slightly differs in the 2 countries

It's slightly different. For example in Germany evening prime time starts at the traditional 8:15pm, while France starts at 8:50pm.

Oh and Arte France broadcast in 1080i, while Arte Germany uses 720p on Satellite/Cable and 1080p on terrestrial, just like ARD/ZDF.

Separate schedules now, the German channel (Astra) has its news at 19:20 and the French channel's (Hotbird) is at 19:45.
Often the programme on the German channel at 20:15 is the same programme on the French channel at 20:50 and so on, but there are some differences.
The French language track is available on the German channel and vice versa.

Thank you for answering me....but this creates something fascinating..given that both the French ARTE channel and the German ARTE channels have dual language tracks, does this mean that you could watch the French ARTE in German and the German ARTE in French? That would be cool!!

Believe so. On the Arte website it says that approx 70% of the German channel's shows are available with French language track, it doesn't give an amount the other way, but that must account for the variations in the schedule (other than the 35 minute timeshift when they are showing the same thing).
