Richard Madeley says he doubts he’ll be offered the job on GMB, and thinks that it’ll be an “all-woman lineup with a nod to diversity”. Doesn’t really say he doesn’t want the job.
At one point a couple of years ago, it was suggested in the papers that Richard was going to be the main stand-in for Piers. Yet he hasn’t appeared on GMB since February 2020. I wonder if we’ll see him again on GMB ?

I was in the audience for Strictly way back in 2012. Was sat behind the judges, got to see all the comings and goings.

Being a tennis fan I've been caught on camera in the stands a few times, especially early rounds when the audience is sparse and you can usually sit wherever you like.

Have also been in the audience for various Radio 4 shows: I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, The Now Show, Newsjack, The News Quiz, Dead Ringers, Just a Minute, The Unbelievable Truth, Thanks a Lot Milton Jones, John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme, probably some others I can't remember. Most of these were in the Radio Theatre or other London locations although ISIHAC tours.

I think Ofcom treats complaints differently when the come from the person in question featured (in this case indirectly) in the broadcast, although those tend to be cases when privacy is an issue.
It doesn't matter how many complaints Ofcom gets to start an investigation. It only needs one (and in some cases none as they will start one through their own monitoring), but some are clearly dealt with more easily than others.

I don’t quite understand what they’re hoping to achieve from an Ofcom complaint, considering Piers has now gone? I can only presume a fine for ITV?
