Is there anywhere on the web that has the Reporting Scotland theme tunes from over the years. There is one that I remember from the early to mid eighties that was quite catchy but can't seem to find it anywhere. (May have been Scotland Today?)

Could you be thinking of the one which used the end bit of MacArthur Park by Donna Summer?

I actually thought you were taking the p*ss there but I have just YouTubed it and YES that was it. That was a great theme. Now if they brought that back as part of the forthcoming BBC news re-brand it would be great. Now to try and find the actual theme tune.........

BBC News - General

He's been reporting from there since the 1 today, not sure if he did the 6 but no doubt been on N24 throughout the day then the 10. He's probably bloody knackered.

Fox News widescreen?

Slightly off topic, BUT, Looking at the table below, I take it most films are shown in one of the two bottom formats as I have a wide-screen TV but get the pillar box when watching films?

Is it just me or has Ellie Crissell Presented with more that Mrs BBC News Kate Silverton?

Also who presents it in your region?

Rhona McLeod BBC Scotland Sports Presenter presents it in Scotland.

Is that all Rhona does now? Surely they don't get her in just for that? Haven't seen her present the sport or any packages since she started.

BBC News 24: 'Day-to-day' Presenter & Rota discussion

What a great pairing between Simon McCoy and Carrie Fisher. Good bit of banter going on this morning, seem to work naturally together and this comes across making it a really watchable shift. I suppose they can get away with a biot more as its a bit of a 'softer' shift? ir not an appointment to watch time like 1, 6 10 etc..

I see they still have Sean Batty there under the regional forecasters. He's been with STV for about 3 months now.

It really is a non-news story. You could see the disapointment on Kay Burley's face when it was realised it wasn't a terrorist attack, and there were no fatalities!

STV News

Great wee blog from the anchor of STV news John Mackay describing the blinder of a programme they had last night with the arrival of Kenny Richie back in Scotland.

http://www.stv.tv/content/news/blogs/real_mackay/index.html

The best line goes to the programme producer right at the end:

"I tell you what John, If I was Jackie Bird last night I'd much prefer to be sitting in your seat than her usual over in Pacific Quay" Smile

I don't post here often but I read every day and you consistently come across as being very unprofessional, itsrobert. If people are chatting on a forum that you work on you should be pleased about that and encourage it, not moan at them that you're not interested in what they have to say.

I honestly can't believe I'm being victimised here. Many, many members have moaned about rota discussion over the years and just because I say something I get all the blame.

As pickle said, you completely missed my point. I want discussion, of course I do. I want interesting discussion on a broad range of presentational topics. I'm getting a bit fed up of reading every thread only to see fantasy rota discussion all the time. Is that so wrong? Just because I'm a moderator does that not allow me to comment on the forum? Speaking as one of the longest serving members here, it is a shame that TV Forum is losing quality and I honestly think it is because people are turned off by fantasy rotas. Can't we get back to discussing the interesting stuff?

Don't worry about it pal. Some people take this far too seriously. Its a fricking forum FFS! Just carry on as normal. They'll eventually realise that they don't HAVE to read and agree with every post. "Walk on!" Wink
