Did anyone notice an extra bit of set underneath the table in yesterday's TC7's 6 o'clock? It looked like they were trying to make the desk look a bit more like the N6 one or cover up the legs and printer etc?

Interesting combination on the 11 to 2 shift today Workaholicocks and Hill. They seem to be ok, and bouncing stories between them well.

Nice discussion about people staying awake for the Sopel Crewe and Natwich by-election results programme due at 0050 on Friday. Jane saying that you can't stay up two nights in a row for fooball and politics and unsurprisingly Workaholicocks denying this and suggesting coffee and coke should do the trick.

Aah, so at least we now know how he manages to present for hours and hours on end on various different channels!

He'll probably be back with Joanna tonight as well!

Yes, and going on his track record, he might even pop up on BBC World in between!

I hope that's coffee and coca cola he's referring to Shocked

Did the ticker not used to change to yellow for the sport? I am sure it did as it would always catch my eye and draw me to it which I thought was handy, seemed to have lost that with the new look.

BBC News Rebrand - This Monday

Is N6's floor now black too? So I don't see how it would look any different to an average viewer, if TC7 used a similar desk and backdrop.

Exactly, my Mum for one doesn't (and won't) have a clue that they are different studios and I'm sure that all but the most eager spotters will notice.

I actually thought you were taking the p*ss there but I have just YouTubed it and YES that was it. That was a great theme. Now if they brought that back as part of the forthcoming BBC news re-brand it would be great.

Mmm, how about a whole 70s disco theme for BBC News - a bit of Gloria Gaynor on the titles to the Ten?

Yes! A bit like Jackie Bird:
