BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

Yes, as is with BBC World News the branded shows tend to have a "presenter No2". It's more likely you won't get George Alagiah on a GMT than you will.; Zeinab can often have a week or two on assignment and there's always Tim Willcox!

Quick question: I think I'm right in saying Tim Willcox has done about every London World News bulletin apart from GMT?

BBC World News - to 14th January 2013

Actually, he could being doing 'Sport Today' at the back of every hour. Nice to see we really will get a quality news schedule here "in the UK and right around the world". They should even start the simulcasts at 0000UKT.

BBC World News - to 14th January 2013

I'm assuming Adnan Nawaz is being bumped for this (he's quite competant but a bit monotone)!! Still, I just can't imagine Babita doing the NC marathon shift of business on Friday afternoons - she's done exceptionally well for just a year or two!!!

Sky News: Presenters & Rotas

Yep, an image of Ken Clarke decided to stick itself to our screens - nice! As always, Jeremy the pro just called it a "false start" and moved on after the break.

Did anyone notice who did the Sport on the NC at 1650-ish??? Obviously a last minute solution, Lizzie took over for the next hour.

I'm sure every time I see Sophie Long, Tim Willcox will either be on the previous, next or a simultaneous shift?!!

BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

So the BBC's hired an on-screen 'social media editor'? Let's hope they listen to us!!!

Anyway, I don't think Adam Parsons is that bad. I think he has a clear voice and doesn't over-emphasise things. And yeah right like Sophie Long would do better - I wouldn't even put her on the interactive news!!!

BBC World News - to 14th January 2013

On the BBC News website, the World News listings show that every overnight bulletin will be called 'Newsday' from 13th June 2011. No info yet. Still no sign of improvements to the 2200 bulletin of World News.

Nice to see Lukwesa up for NSW today. She's a brilliant, well-paced anchor but it's amazing to see how often she trips up on the autocue. Still, she's better than many people in her usual timeslot.

That makes a nice change. To my knowledge, that's Tim Willcox or Martine Croxall's shift and we get quite a bit of them in the week anyway. Lots of sit-down stand-up on this shift - should be good!!!

BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

Oh, that's a shame. He is an outstanding correspondent and also a very good anchor. I think he wasn't too keen on the whole 2 shows 2 channels idea - and at what 4pm Eastern?! I think Phillippa Thomas is on her way back in so we could see her and Katty make up the anchor team. I was just watching the 5am World News hour and still, no perfect endings. Sally Eden, "so from Sally and myself goodbye!" As to which Komla pointed at her and laughed. Ha ha.

Is Matt Gooderick the new Breakfast sport presenter? He tweeted @BBCNorth "see you in 7 months".
I'm sure he'd do well but tbh I don't want him to go all Chris Hollins on us!!! Stay on the NC!!! Although, I think most of BBC Sport's going up there anyway?
