They normally start appearing when the Royal British Legion launches its Poppy Campaign.
There is an "official" period of remembrance - it starts 10 days before Nov 11, and ends 10 days after.

I do think that it's absurd that poppies started appearing on TV presenters in October.
Wearing them for perhaps a week at the most including 11 November and Remembrance Sunday is much more appropriate and meaningful.

Just out of interest Hatton... what does your signature mean?
"A reasonable stab"... is this a terrorist threat ?
You live in the West Midlands... so just what is all this rubbish about?
Sky News reporting from helicopter above New York

Not sure about this, but I'd have thought it stands a good chance that the helicopter was the Flying Fox from FOX 5 New York?
So using the on baord MCR links from the helicopter, the signal was routed via Fox NY and up and out to Sky.

because...you...weren't...going to take one before?
What a silly thing to say, sput. Now go away.
Hatton - I look forward to seeing some of your pics on here, on your return. Make sure you get the camera positions, sat trucks, and the autocue set-up. That would be interesting to see, and I'm sure we won't get much of a view of it anywhere else.

I agree with the Court Correspondants (they're not Royal!). Harry is NOT just a normal guy, he is in line to the throne and should act, and be treated, differently to the scum who are celebrities.
Sky's Geoff Meade is definitely their ROYAL correspondent...
( and their defence correspondent too )
Are Royal Correspondants out of touch with their public?

Some people start threads just so they can be observed to be 'first' with breaking news...
Here's some advice... if anyone wants to keep up to date with a breaking story, this ain't the place. Sky News / News 24 / Five Live or lots of news websites pay people to keep us all informed.

Unbelievable...
you seem to favour the most garish, bright, idiotic, already out-of-date, clumsy, ill thought out out, studio news set I have ever seen.
Why does Sky News need that silly big News Wall?

My view is that the Sky newswall is too big and garish. ITV's theatre of news... much much better in my view.
