BBC National News: Presentation

Interesting Snippet on the BBC Homepage seems to indicate that there's no formal late news tonight after the RBLFoR, just says 'Joins BBC News' ... as if the NC team are to present for BBC One tonight.

Will be interesting to see what actually occurs.

SKY Epg just lists BBC News.

MOTD is 1105.

What's the betting the Rememberance will run late as it's live?

(Fingers crossed I'll be watching Buzzcocks)

What happened in the end last night?

If the Ten requires half an hour to prepare, kicking out the NC to do so, how come the One doesn't do the same, as they're in the same predicament?

(The Six being in TC7 normally!)

As they're not in the same predicament, they don't need half hour to prepare.

The One & the Ten are both in N6 though, but the One does not appear to pre prepare to the extent of the Ten. Why?

Not sure if this might have anything to do with it but the 6 and 10 are done by a separate editiorial team. The 1 O'Clock is run by the News Channel (I think - correct me if I'm wrong!)

BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

Is wearing a poppy compulsory for presenters? Clive didn't have one then up one pops just before 7.30

This is on the BBC news website

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8333733.stm

Point number 3 reads "Organisations like the BBC usually choose a day for presenters to start wearing one. This year it was from 6am on 24 October"

Yeah Riz Latif. Does this mean we shall be seeing less of her on BBC LOndon? I hope so, think she's more suited to national. BBC LOndon is actually not my preferred regional choice I've been bbc for years bust since moving to London I watch London Tonight more often now!

Riz on again this evening...maybe they've all gone on holiday together!!!

BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

Sian Williams doing the BBC News at Ten tonight... strange to see her away from Breakfast.

I thought she was a bit shouty during the opening headlines...maybe just me though

Does anyone know if she is all on week or just today? Sian is doing the 6 all week as Susanna is doing breakfast all week for her.

Yup - strange - but I think she is one of the BBC's best!

I'm guessing it's either because TC7 is being used for Question Time this evening or the studio is considered too vulnerable for a network news broadcast given the protestors outside. TC7 is on the ground floor in the main part of TVC and has an external door, IIRC. N6 is further inside the building, if I recall, and obviously has no external access.

What studio does Question time normally come from? Is it not a bigger studio?
