Virgin Media viewers would've just seen the generic "this channel isn't on air at the moment" slide rather than the one made for Bravo, as I remember putting the timer on and record the last moments on VHS that day.

Over in Sydney, they did a great job closing down on their last day of analogue tv as they shown their old 70's sign-off sequence.

TV Forum for me has always been the home for me for checking on presentation, breakdowns and of course, anything very rare (especially the Youtube Gold section), while I've been checking this website regularly since 2008/2009, I've only made an account back in 2019, but although I didn't post much during then, I will be sad to see this forum to fade away (without the need of re-recording).

The parts that really got me into recording content for VHS was the 80's night on Channel 4 a couple of months ago and that's how I've recorded all junctions (from 9:30am onwards) along with the first "It's a Sin". Even if I wren't born until the late 90's, I am amazed how well the 80's looked and that's how I've gotten into television in the first place, even if it's just the adverts, promos and the Idents. And occasionally the retro programmes (from my tapes, through digital channels (such as Talking Pictures TV) or via Youtube).

Then there were the relaunches, and I also enjoyed checking through archive posts, like the major ITV (all 4 channels) technical problems from 2008 overnight and how some channels wasn't even able to show programmes for a period and of course, the final day of BBC2 from November 2001.

It has been an amazing 13 years since I've first checked this forum. But i agree that it's time to move on. But 20 years was incredible!

BBC ONE Northern Ireland - Last balloon

Did anyone manage to save a recording of the last handover to BBC News 24 from the Balloon era in Northern Ireland? As I remember seeing that video (and images from TV Room) a long time ago which they had a much better effort than network.

I would like to see it again after so long, also the Wales and Scotland versions if they done something special as well.

What I am amazed about sticking with the coffee spill theme was how brave host coped with a coffee spill on BBC Newsroom South East about 40 seconds before they were due to air a live trail before the six o'clock news (1:58 if it doesn't automatically start)

+1 dog is also stretched. during Drawers Off, but appears to be fixed now on both the SD and HD feed.

TV ARK: Returns Jan 2020

I think it depends on whenever people actually donated some VHS or DVD's containing footage from that channel. More Challenge TV would be great, especially the 2002-2004 era.

Seeing as the old thread is now archived, I've noticed today that the Channel 4 HD DOG is in the 4:3 safe zone during programmes made for 16:9.

Classic Emmerdale

I don't recall them using that end-of-part one theme before. I assume it was short lived. When did the change into this theme (starting at 0:31 if it doesn't automatically start)

TV Breakdown Appreciation Thread

Again, not quite a breakdown, but Central seem to came back from the 4th advert break a little too early, showing about 40 seconds of the film slide before rejoining the film (from around 15:05 if the video doesn't start from there).

Channel 4 - 80s themed brand elements today

In VHS quality, all of today's Idents plus a junction featuring the classic promo style.
