Coronation Street

Co-op would be a good one with them having the shop and bags everywhere on the show.

And with their new Coronation Street ranges too...

Conveniently, it's also a lot closer to the original German pronunciation.

I’m A Celebrity .... 2020

App seems to be a none starter. You need to enter your date of birth but can seemingly only go back month by month and I'm way too many months old, so I'm now one day old.

Are you on Android? It's the standard Android date picker, click on the displayed year to select a year, then scroll to your month and finally set a day.

New BBC One ident

JAS84 posted:
Sounds intriguing!

One thing I've wondered is when the launch date will be this year. The English lockdown isn't due to be scaled down until December 3rd (although a further extension is possible), so perhaps the Christmas ident may be held back until Saturday the 5th?? Pure speculation on my part, I hasten to add.

Saturday 5th makes sense even without lockdown, as Monday 30th is too early.

Advent starts on 29th November this year, so in religious terms it's not too early.

Doesn't a knighthood trump CBE? There's no reason to include CBE in Farah's name.

He is a Knight Bachelor, so is entitled to use the title "Sir" without being a knight of the order of chivalry - he is a CBE.

US ELECTIONS 2020 Coverage

How ridiculously flat was this, it was as if they were announcing some breaking news that had just come out of the blue, not something they’d be working up to for 4 days

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVxJJUsdn_Q

Leave it to the US networks to be celebratory or triumphalist.

It's not about being triumphalist; it's about being lively and interesting, and reflecting the historic nature of what just happened.

This isn't the equivalent of Obama being elected - a historic moment for sure. The historic part is Kamala Harris becoming Vice President - the speech she is making now is the bigger moment to my mind than the exact moment the BBC decides to call the election for yet another old white man.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

RDJ posted:
Slightly strange given that the only contestant of any memorable note to win the Million is Judith Keppel. Unless they do an ep of Charles Ingram’s exploits.

Well, Pat Gibson did pretty well after Millionaire...

Unfortunately his inflexion is spoken in such a way that you can tell they've used the same clip twice in that promo.

Christmas Adverts 2020

Well they've linked it with last year's Christmas Number One, and sausage rolls at Christmas are definitely a thing (cf. Morrisons and their yearly Christmassy sausage rolls). They also managed to launch a range of branded flavour collaborations with various food outlets during the current situation - I don't think this is a result of it being a pushed back flavour.
