Ouch 13% Shocked

half term I guess. I wonder why John Stapleton is the stand-in for Aled rather than Matt Barbet, who did it during October? it is great to see John back and he has good chemistry with Kate

ITV News 2013 Rebrand

Jonny posted:
Also, the current and recent eras' lower-case "itv" logos followed by upper-case "NEWS", grammatically, read as "ittvuh, enn, eee, double-u, ess" (if you see what I mean), which I've never liked.

It's a bit like how the lack of dots/full-stops in BBC One's former regional-news-replacement "UK TODAY" (remember that?) meant that, grammatically, the entirely-upper-case logo actually read as "Uck Today".

It's called stylistic licence (and not taking things to literal extremes).

I think it's one of the most truly bonkers things ive ever read on here

ITV News

Yes, it's slightly annoying that it doesn't begin at 22:00:00, but it's not really comparable with the 'News at When?' era when the scheduling was random and only at 10pm a few times a week

Daybreak relaunch with Lorraine and Aled

Adrian + Christine left the same week as David Kemode arrived. The papers claimed he was the man who sacked them. It was probably a decision made higher than him, but it seems he ended up sacked himself (and didn't last as long as them ironically).

I think ITV definitely need to stick with Aled and Lorraine for at least a year from now and they're genuinely gelling I think. Aled has improved massively in the last month or so (perhaps since the new boss took over).

Daybreak relaunch with Lorraine and Aled

So, ratings wise: were the ratings higher during the initial daybreak run (before they started tinkering) with Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley compared to now?

Yes ratings were better under Adrian + Christine. But the figures have improved slightly in the last few weeks (since Karl Newton took over). The first hour is still underperforming I think.
