CNN International & Domestic

Fareed Zakaria GPS had the CNN US graphics while CNN Intl. gave it its own flipper. I think it looks good but the amount of text is very much limited by the programme title/CNN logo at the right.

Do they still use the neon globe background for the World News in the mornings?

Yes.

Just wondering, because I thought the rotating desk might have been broken seeing as the hardly ever use it anymore.

Maybe it takes quite a lot of time for it to rotate properly and they cant be bothered? Laughing

US Election Night: International Coverage

I pretty much enjoyed the election music. Any idea where would we be able to listen to a longer piece of it?

US Election Night: International Coverage

mark posted:
Looking back on how the US networks covered Election Night, one thing that I've noticed is that some went to much more effort with their studios than others - and that's a bit surprising.

CNN made more use of their 'Election Center' than ever before (I didn't realise how huge it was until Tuesday night). ABC totally refitted the inside of the Good Morning America studio in Times Square to create a fresh and very impressive set. Fox News had a big specially-built set, which was an updated version of the one they used on Super Tuesday.

However, NBC (who had superb coverage) had a fairly small studio, which probably wan't much bigger than the BBC's. And CBS went to the least effort of the lot - they just used the usual Evening News studio with, as in every election since '96, an American flag on the backdrop.

I didn't think anyone's studios looked bad - but I'm surprised that, given the historic nature of the election, CBS and (particularly) NBC didn't push the boat out a bit more.

But CBS's graphics aint bad Very Happy

When did this happen?

It happened last night... rather amusing!

Any idea what happened exactly? Did that 'tile' really fell down or? Shocked

...or what? There aren't a huge range of options, really.

The screen seemed brighter without the 'tile'! Confused

It looked as though the set is put up together hastily and have the possibility of actually falling apart anytime soon! Look at the base of the plasma screen. Is it just me? Laughing
