Bauer rebranding 53 stations to The Hits/Greatest Hits
They did start making some odd changes towards the end. On the north west station they suddenly dropped the popular breakfast hosts Ditchy and Salty in favour of a new team of three who didn't last very long at all, then it changed a few more times before it became Heart.

In my experience watching Travel Man it depends how recently the programme was uploaded to All4. If it was made in HD but it was uploaded a few years ago, it seems to be in SD. If it is more recent then it seems to be in HD.
Live Test Cricket returns to C4
The highlights show is basically as before, but twice as long, with just a short piece to camera as the intro. Noteably though it's available on All4 in HD - perhaps a concession to More4 being SD. Unless I'm mistaken All4 isn't in HD as standard.

The jingles live on. Pretty much every small scale station that launches seem to order re-sings!
Heard them on Great Yorkshire Radio, Scarborough's This is the Coast, and YO1 in this area alone.
Well, these are the specific ones I remember. They were produced by Music4 who don't exist anymore, because of reasons, so I'm not sure you could get them resung now.

I also really liked Real Radio, the north west version at least (previously Century). Nice mix of music, good presenters… and catchy jingles! So of course they ditched all that and replaced with Heart.

Eastenders doesn't HAVE to change slots, the BBC choose to change the slot. Surely nowadays with catch up on the ITV Hub or iPlayer or indeed ITV+1, and the repeats, there's no need to change slot.
It's still best all-round for viewers if two of the most popular programs don't clash.
I'd imagine nowadays more Corrie viewers would be likely to watch Not Going Out than EastEnders. Would be interesting to see the venn diagram for the soap viewers nowadays - suspect there is a significant crossover for the ITV soaps but not so much for them with EastEnders.
The commitment to watching a soap is much greater now that they’re all on so many times a week.

TV Forum: New for (the middle of) 2020
Would it be possible to make it so that Twitter embeds loading don't make the page jump back up? A bit annoying especially when you've clicked to see the latest post, start reading it, then suddenly it disappears.

Even though they didn't replace the title sequence for Good Morning Britain in the entire time it was on air, I do notice one subtle change from the original version of the sequence.

TV ARK: Returns Jan 2020
This clip from the last day of TV-am is interesting as it features a goodbye from the (presumably Thames?) announcer at the start, and oh my god it's in stereo! The TV-am theme in stereo!Even though they didn't replace the title sequence for Good Morning Britain in the entire time it was on air, I do notice one subtle change from the original version of the sequence.

I would definitely watch Dancing on Ice if they started putting stuff like 'The taxes! The finger thing means the taxes!' in the background.
Saturday Night Takeaway 2021
See also the jeering during the vote reveal - one of the worst elements of many noughties talent shows (with the exception of "Only The Young Guy" from X Factor) and even more ridiculous when the shouting is just random crowd noise like you'd get on The Simpsons town hall meetings rather than people actually shouting to support their favourites.

Haha, just came here to post that. I think it's a timecode that someone has mistakenly left turned on? It was a very brief shot so may have gone unnoticed.
