Yeah, right on, man! And let's get rid of 30% of the resolution, scrap colour and go back to mono sound while we're about it.
Ever heard the word "Luddite"..?

To echo what Nini said, you should at least put some dummy text, even if it's lifted from the current site. At least that way it looks as though you've spent more than a minute getting it ready.
For realistic dummy text, try Lorem Ipsum.

This is a design demo not content demo!
It should alternative ways the BBC could set out their homepage so things can be easier found. It isn't meant to be an original design; it's ment to be a design similiar to currect whilst incorporating full css and better scripting.
The 1,2,3,4 buttons do not work all the time - I do not know why this is but I am working on it!

Ghastly. The "Tonight" text is stupidly large, and the layout is hamfisted in the extreme. Whether or not these were made in Paint is no excuse for lousy design. These would have looked diabolical even if made in PhotoShop.

As you can see these are 4:3, so i did a widescreen version for BBC One. The other would follow the same style.

The pictures are just a small preview of the program. they dont match to the program, but thats all i had on my computer at the time.

Is "semi" a euphemism for "not"..?
Some content would be nice!

Here is a semi working proto-type for bbc.co.uk, it is almost finished but I thought I would share it with you early.
Basically its all CSS and Javascript powered which makes it really fast, by pressing the 1/2/3/4 links you will get a different "THING TO LOOK OUT FOR "
Clicking on the example weather areas will show the 2 day forcast for that region - without needing to refresh!
BBC MOCK
As you can see its based alot on the current BBC.co.uk but also my own little changes.

For a 1st mock this is actually quite reasonable. You've put in the time to think about what level of detail would be required. My main criticism would be that the flare in the centre detracts from the white logo and text.
And I'm sure Simon L u x t o n* would rue the loss of the globe!
* Ok, why is this guy's name picked out by the profanity filter???

I take it you don't like them, would you like me to remove them?
John
No, please don't remove them just because people don't like them. There's nothing more annoying than going into a thread only to find that the original poster has taken down the images because of a few adverse comments.
It's always interesting to see what people do wrong, just as much as it is to see what they do right. How else can you learn from other people's mistakes..?

Bleuch - never buy from a music download store.
Look on any Christmas compilation CDs - they'll have a copy of the Band Aid song there.
Actually, I think what Orcido is asking for is not the standard radio version - there's an extended version where everything bar the drums stops and you get a montage of greetings from the performers. Usually just some obscure 80s (now) hasbeen saying Merry Xmas.

This is one of those tracks you should buy rather than copy - it's one thing downloading free commercial music, it's a whole other downloading a charity single.
