Just guessing, but I would have thought it's because he earns more money this way - no other reason for him to do it really.
Yeah, doing three little sports updates per day isn't really a lot is it? On World he gets to do the afternoon sports updates most hours, plus a couple of Sport Today programmes. He doesn't do that every day -- he tends to share the afternoons with David Brenner.
Just seems a lot of hours from one who is likely to have been awake from about 3am

Someone from the BBC please help - how on earth and more importantly why on earth does Rob Bonnett do BBC Breakfast and then go on to do daytime sports updates on BBC World?

He probably hasn't been kicked off -- I'd imagine it's since he's been presenting on air since 08.00 this morning.
I don't think he has done every morning shift this week -- David Jessel has done a couple I think, on the occasions that I tuned in.
Good point, but I made that asumption based on the fact that News 24 was going to be screened on daytime BBC Two and they might want a 'News 24 Face' presenting?

Been viewing Abu Dhabi TV on Sky Digital 824 and they haven't shown anything new as reported by BBC News 24 earlier.

I'd rather have it that way, as we lazy people can then get to see Adrian on the late morning shift!
Interesting start to the 10.00 hour there -- after the break filler, they cut to a breakdown caption, as they'd obviously lost the countdown. It then cut to N9 output (a little before 10.00), and the titles ran straight away, rather than having headlines as usual. It was done that way because the Nobel Peace Prize was to be announced at 10.00.
Does anyone know which days Nisha Pillai does these days on a regular basis? A few years ago, she used to do Monday-Friday afternoons, but she now only appears to do a couple of days a week.
Yes good to see Adrian, he's been doing that shift all week hasn't he? Anyway Nisha did TWT last Friday and has been doing a few other things, the World Presenters have a crazy shift pattern don't they

how very dull - poor Jamie had a cold; so all in all not an inspiring show. Good news coverage as always though.

This is an absolute and utter disgrace, something has to be done about this programme I don't watch it anymore but just reading about on here makes me so angry.
EXACTLY - THIS IS LONDON, an amazing capital city, full of lots of good things, places and people, bad things too - there MUST be something other than Elton John to lead on for the love of Asa there must be.
Can't we do something about this programme, surley we can!?
