New Sky channels: Crime, Comedy, Documentaries, Nature

The most logical EPG positions for Sky Nature would be 163 or 168, so that it's within the vicinity of Animal Planet (162), Nat Geo Wild (165) and Eden (166).

I'm a bit surprised that they are putting Sky Documentaries on 114, but I guess they wanted it close to BBC Four (116). Hopefully they won't move SYFY too far, as it's one of the best known Pay TV brands, and if they do slap Sky onto the name then it needs a relatively good slot.

Channel 5 rebrand 2020

The website and social media channels have also had a bit of a facelift, with a splash of black/grey and gold.

NOW TV

BT customers have gained the Sky channels but look set to lose 20 others:

Alibi
Animal Planet
CNN
Comedy Central Extra
Crime + Investigation
Discovery Science
Discovery Turbo
E!
Eden
Eurosport 1
Eurosport 2
Investigation Discovery
Lifetime
Movies 24
MTV Music
MTV Classic
Nat Geo
TLC
TCM Movies
W

None of the above are included in BT's new packages so it's only a matter of time until existing customers lose 20 channels... I wouldn't be happy!

They should get History and History 2 when they rebrand as Sky History and Sky History 2.

New Sky channels: Crime, Comedy, Documentaries, Nature

The Sky Arts Facebook page has been renamed as "Sky TV", which seems a bit odd. The website address is unchanged though.

The Twitter page hasn't changed, and haven't noticed changes to any social media pages for other Sky Channels.

I hope this doesn't mean that Sky Arts is on the way out.

Sky One's facebook page also got renamed Sky TV too. I think it's just a better way of cross-promoting shows across the Sky TV portfolio using social media.

Sky Atlantic and Sky Witness too.

I expect to see all of the accounts merged in the coming days.

Yuck.

I predict the next one will be Sky SYFY.

New Sky channels: Crime, Comedy, Documentaries, Nature

I suspect that they just haven't chosen the colours yet for Sky History & Sky Documentary.

What's 'Sky History' - first I have heard of that?

I don't get what you mean about 'they just haven't chosen the colours' in reference to the Sky Documentaries logo. It exists, and it's black and white.

Where did you find the logo?

It's strange that the Sky Documentaries logo is so similar to Sky Witness, with the same black and white design... there are so many other colours that they could have used.

First week of Paramount Network in the new format:

The A-Team
Knight Rider
Airwolf
Street Hawk
Spartacus: Blood and Sand
Arrow
Suits
Police Interceptors
Traffic Cops
Trucking Hell
Bouncers
Car Crash TV
High Alert
Criminals: Caught on Camera
Can't Pay? We'll Take it Away!
Winter Road Rescue
World's Deadliest Weather
World's Toughest Prisons

It's very clearly just 5Spike under a new name.

I don't have anything against the content, as 5Spike has been very successful at appealing to the old Bravo demographic, and Spike is a good brand for that, but there's no way that these shows should be associated with the Paramount brand in the UK.

TV Channel Predictions 2020

BBI45 posted:
Hate to be the bringer of bad news, but VICE News Tonight was cancelled back in September.

Only on HBO. It's due to relaunch on VICELAND, hence why I think it might arrive on the UK channel.

I thought the UK channel had gone as well and it is now on demand only, via All4 I think.

No, VICE is on Sky 183, Virgin 219, BT 338, TalkTalk 338, NOW TV and All 4.

Yep. Paramount is moving, and adding some of 5Spike's programmes to its schedule.
