Sky News: Presenters & Rotas

Marathon shift for Claudia Liza-Armah. Started at 2 and finishes at 8pm. Dermot Murnaghan is in Paris.

I was thinking exactly the same

Good Morning Britain Mock

Just out of interest, where do you get the itv press pack for gmb?
This mock is terrible. The only good thing is the colours. Which you stole from David

Asking a question, then posting a piece of criticism which isn't constructive in any way probably isn't the best way to get an answer to said question.

I get what you mean. I was asking David for the press pack

It probably took about five. Simply pasting a BBC one logo onto a homemade video/photo doesn't really count as a recreation

Mark Austin signs for Sky

JRY posted:
But he won't be U.S. Editor because that position doesn't exist and has been pulled out of thin air here. I've said I'm not at liberty to comment further other than to say what I've said, but there's no point in speculating further based on a pre-supposition which I've said is erroneous.

So in all probability, somebody is moving to a new position, or taking maternity leave etc - I don't think I'm being unreasonable by suggesting that either.

Obviously Mark's position isn't a Jon Sopel type editorial position, but still it's a fantastic signing for Sky News. I can see him working very well with Kay Burley - and really taking the Trump administration to task when needs be.

The most-sensible post I've seen on this subject.

I agree

GMB sunbeam titles

It would be awesome if you could do a sunbeam one but with the new square dominated title sequence

Good Morning Britain

I have noticed this from since the show re-launched but they seem to have stopped doing mad camera pans in to the presenters at the toth

Interesting observation. Having looked back over some of the episodes since the re-launch it appears to me that it was only done in the same 'mad-camera pan' style for the first week after re-launch. Then for the following couple of weeks it seemed to be a similar sort of pan, but where the camera started closer to the presenters (more like the old ones did). Since then, it seems to have slowly reverted back to a far more restrained old style one.

I think its a great shame as well, the running steadicam was exciting and pacey and looked refreshing. But there must be a reason why they dropped it the day after. It is possible that the presenters struggled to read the autocue with the camera moving so quickly?

Sky News presentation - New studio onwards

Just out of curiosity, what's the reason for going back to the old studio today rather than using the glass box? In fact, why do Sky News need to use the old studio at all now?

The glass box building isn't really open on bank holidays and weekends as it is like a village with even a little waitrose. that is why they use the old studio

Good Morning Britain

It's a shame that GMB has modifed it's on air look. The previous circlular theme was perfect in my opinion. The new one is not bad, but it doesn't look finished to me, and some of the wipes look poor.

I prefer the modifed theme tune better than the 2015 version, but I still prefer the original.

I really love the GMB fanfare theme.

Oh I hated the circular theme. It was all to fluffy a gossipy (if thats even a word) and there were random shapes everywhere. The new look is simple, newsy and down to earth.

Sky News presentation - New studio onwards

Well, just going off topic a little bit, the building that the current weekend studio is in used to be a tesco warehouse
