Very sad news.
Caron Keating
I'll add to the thoughts of what a lovely person she was, with what an excellent television presenter she was - Intelligent, relaxed and inviting. The sort of person people welcome on screen, but don't seem to be seeing anymore.Very sad news.

That's a myth. The old Match of the Day always had the big teams as the main games, I can't see why people think otherwise.
It's because we can remember otherwise. The difference is the premiership are only prepared to show the more lowly sides versus a top three club, whereas Match of the day was happy to let, for example, Manchester United play middlesborough go by, whilst they showed us Villa playing Newcastle, maybe.
Of course its due to commercial pressure - but it doesn't stop it being an annoyance.

I can't wait for match of the day to return so teams like Spurs and Everton and Leeds get given more than a 2 minute showing. Should any of them stay up, of course.

Eh? The same premiership that always shows Manchester United Arsenal and Liverpool or Chelsea regardless of the importance of the matches.

That is annoying, I have lost track with Cheers, last I saw it on a Monday lunchtime it was on the episodes in the late 1980's and when it moved to 8.30am, they went back to Series 3 and now they're jumping to Series 5! Are these the episodes when Coach leaves (Well the actor who played him died at the time) and Woody starts?
God Bless Paramount for showing them in order!
The actor who played coach died after the filming of the episode they showed on Friday I think. Any further appearances he makes are from outtakes, I believe.
Woody arrived at the start of series 4 - so we won't get to see that. Just like we didn't get to see his wedding, which was the next episode due before they moved to breakfast time.
Trying to keep track of what seasons of Friends...

So, please lets have some tributes sent my way for this supreme effort.
And to think if I'd realised I hadn't been here for so long, I needn't have given up the grog for lent. Bugger.

This thread led me to check when I last posted. 41 days ago, it seems. I did it without even trying - I've just been lacking inspiration. So, please lets have some tributes sent my way for this supreme effort.

Jade in hospital
Do you know, I was just this morning thinking that one of these reality shows could do with a death. I was thinking more along the lines of a clever whodunnit murder type scenario, but this will do I suppose.Last edited by Still on 28 February 2004 9:02pm

CiTV & Ministry of Mayhem thread
I'd like this thread to go the way of giving me weekly Holly updates.. profiling funniness, competance and cleavage. Far more important that who likes tutenstein, shhhurely?

No doubt the BBC would say that we should always change the time the setting manually to allow for a late finish of a programme,
If they were to say that, I'd agree with them. Add a few minutes each side and you'll be ok. It's not really hard is it? Regardless of whether you should need to do it or not, it's the sensible thing to do really.
