Thanks for the link GMc. That was one section that I hadn't looked at, before starting this topic. It's one area that I hadn't really visited in the past - will do now!

TVCatchup.com suspended

Have just tried to log on to TVCatchup.com & found a message stating

"This Website Has Been Terminated For Terms Of Service Violations

If you are the owner or webmaster for this site please contact support immediately."

Does anyone know if there has been a successful legal challenge to this site operating, as hinted in this report on December 17?

I have been using the service recently and enjoyed using it, especially as I didn't have to be on my home PC to watch programmes & have to access several different sites.

I was hoping to use the site for the next week or so, as my PVR has had to go in for repair.

Seem to be about six different BBC News threads on the go at the moment and I'm losing track of where I'm posting and what goes where, but this should fit here - apologies if already answered.

Simple question - is the Ten o'clock News still doing it's headline recap after the regional news, and if so is Newsnight starting a little bit later to allow them too?

No the headline recap has been dropped.

On BBC London News they now do the plug for Newsnight, so i assume the other regions are too.

Yes, Newsnight was plugged on Look North Leeds last night.

Two Pints of Lager... And A Packet of Crisps

Interesting the Jonny is still in the titles for the new series.

I wonder then, if he's still in the titles, Jonny might make a 'miraculous' return, similar to the end of one of the earlier series when it looked as though he had been shot dead, but on the beginning of the next series, the funeral was for Donna's mum & Jonny was alive.

Or is it because there's no cash to shoot or re-edit the titles?

BBC Breakfast

Unfortunately, my daughter switched my PVR off at the mains whilst recording this mornings trip down memory lane (& I hadn't the time to reset it), so I'm going to have to rely on TVCatchup or something like that - if anyone's got any caps, it would be appreciated.

What I did see a little earlier, was a brief visit to the old set & Selina Scott berating whoever was responsible for putting it together for supplying leather sofas in mustardy ochre rather than antique red!

Her is a link to an article from Media Guardian with a pic that includes another face from the past - Debbie Rix

Looks like the BBC won by a clear million...
4.9 vs 3.8

How accurate are these 'initial' figures though? Did the BBC definitely win?
If things are done anything like Australia they're neurotically accurate..the little box checks what you're watching, and who's there, every 15 minutes and the people who have them are selected quite deliberately.

How can you [do you] get selected to get one of the "boxes" or be part of the set-up?

Does anyone think that the BBC will start The Ten just before 10pm, in order to try to keep viewers who may be tempted to change to ITV?

I think it all depends on the nine

Laughing Ok - by "The Ten" I mean "The News at Ten O'Clock"

Does anyone think like me that the desk sticks out like a sore thumb, being so white? IMO if it could be toned down somwhat it might blend in more.
