Fox News removed from Sky

As to how much it costs, the content that was seen on the FOX Extra segments obviously weren't produced for nothing, but they were generally pretty cheaply produced. The original weather sequence was literally a constantly running computer so would probably have been cheaper overall.

That Fox Extra stuff is also shown on the 19.2E version as part of Movistar so it will still need to be produced, presumably its shown on the Sky Italia version too.

Why on Earth did they even launch on 19.2E? Sky analogue was only a fortnight away from it's demise.

It was FTA so people across Europe using 19.2 would also have been able to watch it.

Saying as this is a TV presentation forum I will talk about Emirates Cup on Quest this weekend, the coverage has had one commentator in Kevin Keatings for all 4 matches with no co-commentator, no pundits or no presenter. Fair enough in some regards at half time or full time they don't even show a recap of the goals just went straight to adverts. They also played features during both matches yesterday such as how to polish a table which was random.

Sounds like they just took the World Feed then as Kevin Keatings was on that commentating on his own.

Sky Sports Revamp

From that article, new score bar:

Looks like they’re using the official Premier League graphics on the coverage of Leicester vs West Bromwich Albion right now.

I don't normally pay much attention to the Asia Trophy - is that normal for the competition or can we take it as some sort of policy change as regards use of the official PL graphics on UK coverage. (It could also be something as simple as the host broadcaster not making a clean feed available).

From what I remember this is always the case on the PL Asia Trophy.

SNG, mobile uplinks and Bonded Cellular

Seem like Sky News have ditched their SIS branded trucks, used to see SIS 48-51 on 16e all the time but now it's just 'Ranger' labelled testcards which I believe are the smaller none branded 4x4 vans - More cost savings for Sky News?

They are starting to use SIS again, presumably just as a stop gap during General Election.

Are the SIS ones with the ID SN02 SN01 etc? Still on the same 11129, 11151, 11140, 11164 , 11175 etc?

Strange graphics on the Cliftonville v Glentoran match from Northern Ireland on Sky Sports this evening.

Did the previous time Sky showed NI domestic games use their own graphics or these ones? Could the matches be produced by the league themselves rather than Sky?

ITV Box Office

Seems Pougatch made his way over for the main event at least - guess someone else hosted the undercard. He's proving to have been a smart and versatile signing for ITV.

I didn't see the coverage from the start but after the Kid Galahad v Joseph Agbeko when I saw a bit of it, Pougatch was presenting.

ITV Box Office

I know nothing about boxing, but the match was just plugged on ITV News at around 10:45. What were ITV Box Office showing, as that screenshot was posted two hours earlier?

There are a couple of other fights on the undercard before the main Eubank fight. The main fight itself is just starting now but ITV Box Office coverage including the other fights started at 7pm.

Digital Spy

What's scary is next week it will be 16 years to the day since I first signed up to DS... which is more than half of my life. Of course the site's changed dramatically (and gone badly downhill) in that time.

In fact when I first joined, Digitalspy was just the forums, the news was a separate site called Diginews. It didn't all come until the Digitalspy name until some point in 2001.

Just checked my join date 04-03-2000, so 17 years next month, also more than half my life!
