I’m A Celebrity .... 2020

I wonder if the theme will be re-done to fit the setting.
I feel like the Aussie Aboriginal noises would be replaced by Welsh opera singers.
Or something that fits with the country's culture.
Alfie Mulcahy and Ballyboy gave kudos

Eurovision 2021 - Netherlands - NPO/AVROTROS/NOS

Wonder how many will basically rip off their 2020 entry and try and pass it off as something new.

Has the UK situation been confirmed?

I'm hoping Daði tries something different to combat that situation.

Coronavirus - Impact on live/recorded shows

So MTV's Europe Music Awards are to go ahead as planned, but like their American counterpart, the VMAs this year, it'll be a virtual ceremony.

Little Mix, in case you haven't heard, are now joining the ranks of Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, Borat, Heidi Klum and most recently, Latina superstar Becky G as hostesses of the show, the first group to do so.

They'll also be performing one of their new songs from their album, "Confetti".
Also like this year's VMAs, there's no arena show, well not until 2021, so all the performances are to be pre-recorded from various locations across Europe such as Hungary and London.
This is their cool, animated 80s superheroine promo, which looks very nice animation-wise.

My congratulations to the girls, hopefully they can deal with the nervousness that comes with hosting these events. Cos, anything can happen.
Like Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift with his infamous "Imma let you finish" line at the 2009 VMAs.

So much that Katy Perry, the host of the 2009 EMAs in Berlin, interrupted his part in the nomination video for Best Urban Act. Kanye lost to Jay-Z fortunately.

Sir David Jason has been doing all he can to care for Nicholas Lyndhurst & his family since his recent tragic loss of his son; Archie.

I found the article from the Daily Mail to be very emotional. It had left me in a lot of tears as I had read it tonight.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-8829051/Sir-David-Jason-caring-Nicholas-Lyndhurst-following-son-Archies-tragic-death.html#comments

I still cannot believe that he was taken too soon. May Archie's soul rest in peace. Crying or Very sad

Yes, Archie could've gone to greater fame like his father...
But very nice of Sir David Jason to help out during this time of grieving.
Knowing that him and Nick have known each other since Only Fools, I can see why Nicholas needs him now more than ever to help him cope with the loss.

Also that photo of young Archie with his loving father is desperately trying to hit me in the feels.

New look for Greece's ERT

So we have an ident for ERT World, love the ink blot in water style animation they went for.
Kinda relates to Greece being a country that loves the sea.

International Presentation

Here's the idents for DR2 used since January.

It's a little more abstract than DR1's idents, I would like to warn that the third ident in this compilation does contain a particularly rude gesture so watch at your own discretion.

Will Disney close all the UK linear kids channels?

I wonder what those two are up to now?

Without sounding harsh, check their Twitters. Nigel recently reunited with Jemma and Jean

Well it's nice they've reunited after 15 years since DC scrapped continuity and WWOD to become more like their American counterpart later on.

I can imagine their sadness when they found out the channel that jump started their careers is suddenly gone after 25 years on air.

Will Disney close all the UK linear kids channels?

A lot of the UK team have definitely seen it as a goodbye.

I wonder if any of the former Studio Disney/Playhouse Disney presenters have heard of the news that DC UK is gone?
I know that Alex is now doing the local news for BBC Points West, but it would be nice if she paid tribute to where it all began for her.

We all know Alex is still around on BBC Points West, but what happened to them and Alex's Playhouse Disney co-star, Dave?

Will Disney close all the UK linear kids channels?

Still always found it a shame that the kids channels got rid of said live studio continuity, as a kid I always preferred it to out of vision continuity, especially as the stuff on the kids channels wasn't even live (though I think Disney did have some live out of vision continuity at one point). Always felt more friendly and personal.

Well, let's be thankful CBBC and CBeebies are still going strong with theirs.
But yeah, live continuity back then was the best. Felt like you were part of the experience.

I believe for the most part the UK team (and the Italian team too), didn't see it much as a goodbye, more like a move to Disney+

Will Disney close all the UK linear kids channels?

I notice a fair amount of Disney TV content which wasn't on Disney+ has been added today.

Still waiting for some older content like TaleSpin and Bonkers which are on the US version though...

Is Recess on the UK version?

Yes.
