If they were to use the N24 studio for the simulcast, rather than the ghastly N6, then i think i would not mind!

New ITV News Logo - Any ideas?

I have to say I am intrigued by the new news look.

I am normally a BBC News man myself, but their current regional looks are feeling a bit dated now, and I really do not like the new look BBC London has adopted, so this look is a breath of fresh air!

Well done ITV!

BBC One O'Clock News

Could this not have gone in the general BBC News thread? Its not that big a deal, this happened a couple of months ago.

BBC News Thread

Her voice did sound bad, and the bulletin felt very slow and disjointed compared to normal.

Was it her that shouted HELLO at the beginning? it sounded like a man!

Will she reappear at 1pm or will she be replaced?

They are let down by the banner that says the programme that is being promoted. Have the bottom banner, made of your distinctive white horizontal stripes:

||||||||||||||||Parkinson on I.T.V.IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII8:00||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

JUST AN IDEA.

Why? that would clutter the whole look and you would not have Parkinson on ITV (and stop doing that - its itv) at the bottom when you already have the logo on the right?

Edit - oops! forgot to say im liking these mocks! 4/5

Whats the point in saying he does the ITV Evening and Nightly news weekdays then really. Might as well leave him on the evening news and get another anchor who can do 5 days a week for the 10.30 bulletin.

But do you see the likes of Anna Ford and Huw Edwards working all 5 days? Lately even Alagiah and Kaplinsky have been having 1 day off as well.

So it may seem its not realistic to expect somebody on 5 nights a week.

Lib Dem Leadership Contest

Dunedin posted:

Hmm- I've read this weak argument (generally written by people who don't understand what they're saying but have heard it elsewhere) just once too many times now. Please tell us the reasons why the UK went to war- and please for the love of god don't just say "oil".

It's the ultimate argument of the imbecile.

Alexia's argument was seemingly directed at the argument of WMD and the 45 mins argument, but .... the oil supplies of the west are running out, and it makes sense from an american point of view to have an american backed administration in an oil rich country, say iraq?!

Hmm- on several occasions:

Interviewer- have you ever taken drugs (regardless of class) as a member of parliament?

DC- no

But you could however argue that he refused to answer the question very uncomfortably in the same way the Kennedy has done so in the past.

Dunedin posted:
But Kennedy has proved himself to be totally incompetant because he's an alcoholic.

<snip>

His position is totally untenable. The fact he's still in office is amazing- if he were leader of Labour or the Tories he would have been forced out months ago. His fellow MPs have known about his drinking and kept it relatively private while encouraging him to step down- quite remarkable loyalty. But this can't go forever.

He's finished.
Quite a harsh judgement, if he was incompetant would he have a record number of lib dem mp's elected in the commons?

Would have have mass support from oap's, students and anti war protesters, or perhaps you are indirectly swaying towards the belief that all the people who voted lib dem are stupid?

Personally myself if Kennedy goes (which seems inevitable now, sadly) i dont think i could warm to any of the other faceless idiots that make up the rest of the party, and god help us if the next leader is Simon Hughes - there is something about him i do not trust and do not like.

It's itv, not i.t.v

eh? I didn't even put any in that post?

He is referring to your image - the new itv logo has itv and not ITV in it

Then don't watch if your fed up, its as simple as that.

i really hate responses like this. This is a discussion board - where people watch and discuss elements of TV presentation which may or may not be to their liking. It is a very easy concept to grasp.

On here, it seems this is not the case, it OBVIOUSLY is a very difficult subject to grasp!

"Bad Mocks" on TV Forum

Rob Del Monte posted:
I agree that this forum is for all abilities.

I think that all abilities should post. Give everyone respect.

Point out that an object is not inside the safe area. recommend placing it in the safe area.
Don't just say "Rubbish!" bluntly!
People post because they know there are rubbish areas, and want pointers on how to sort them.

Saying "rubbish" deafeats the objective.

Itt is like going to see a doctor about some condition. Then the doctor tells you that you need to see a doctor about that injury and walks away.

Or you tell a teacher you are stuck on a subject, and want help, then you just get told that you are rubbish at the subject. then the teacher thinking they have really helped.
Please be constructive, or 'rubbishers' are infact being rubbish at 'tv foruming'. In my view.

Yes all very well, but it is no good sugar coating the truth, if it is really rubbish then you may as well say so.

To be honest with you, most of the time when comments posted just say "rubbish" with no reasons or to use the new tvf buzz phrase "constructive criticism" usually is because the mocks are so poor or the user is a troll, therefore what i am saying is the effort really is not necessary.
