Finding out TV Forum will close at the end of the month, was quite a shock for me. I just realised that it has been 20 years since I joined TV Forum. I've never posted that much, but I followed most of the topics here. It was a great place to follow tv presentation/graphic design from a different, more in-depth point of view. Not only from the UK, but also from the rest of the world. I was very happy to see there are more people interested in this kind of design Very Happy . It has been an inspiring place.

I would like to thank the complete team behind TV Forum, all members for all the information they've shared here and, last but not least, Asa for creating this place. Maybe we'll meet again at TV Live Forum Wink

That's also one of the reasons that RTL De Journal is broadcast on RTL5 every morning at 5:30. They have to show it, because the channels are in fact still Luxembourgish where they have to show something in one of the official languages.

Yes, major changes were announced, but nobody knows what they want to do with the programme. As a result, two of the main presenters were fired, and the weather presenter didn't get a new contract. He will leave the programme next month, after 23 years.

Several years ago, SBS wanted to refresh the programme to attract a younger audience. A new set, new graphics and music were introduced, and two main presenters were fired. They didn't succeed, the ratings dropped.

Sadly, this plan to get people to watch Ned. 1 didn't work, as the logo was fake and henceforth couldn't be seen by the public.


The music of the first ident in this video is still in use today on television, not on NPO2 but on RTL5. Smile

Eurovision 2021 - Netherlands - NPO/AVROTROS/NOS

The point is, the city council of Amsterdam wants to discourage tourists to visit Amsterdam. Quite a lot measures are being taken to achieve this; e.g. stricter rules for homeowners advertising on Airbnb, the ban on coaches in the city centre, less tourist shops and so on. Even Holland Marketing has advised to host the contest outside Amsterdam.

Ironically, Amsterdam is one of the cities currently working on a so-called bid book to host the contest Confused

This wasn't a response to the NOS, they've been altering the end credits of various bulletins since 2014/2015. The first one that was changed was the 6 o'clock edition Smile
