One thing about KRON is that although they sublease space from KGO-TV they have a separate physical plant. However they despite physical plants being separate they get a feed of KGO’s helicopter with Sky 7 graphic burnt in, I would like to know if the agreement also includes things like Sky Cams. It wouldn’t make sense to have two separate cameras on the roof if they’re just going to shoot the same images.

Worth mentioning the stairs on WFLA are apparently functional and designed to reach the next floor.

You see the News Nation logo? It’s part of a edict from Nexstar - before they were holding onto clips for 24 hours however that cost them their CNN contract. Other networks started rumbling about pulling their news contracts and finally Nexstar blinked and said yes you can have footage but you have to put a logo on screen saying News Nation.

I saw this and thought, someone must have edited that music on the end of this clip of Fox News:
... but no it is real:

Like to know where there originating from as they don’t have a teeny conference room or editing bay in the Fox bureau for flash cams. NBC has opened their new updated bureau but I’d like to see if they’re going to use a studio of a flash cam as well.
Dermot has been doing pres from the roof of what I believe is the NBC bureau... so maybe there.
I imagine that’s where they’ll be pushed to on Election Night. They’ll probably set up two stories of press risers like they’ve done in the past. They’ve also installed an insulated tent for all the extra correspondents.

Kay Burley's show is from Washington starting on Monday.

Would be interested to see the viewing figures for a full local news broadcast at 4am. I know some people work nights and this is a different country to ours but who is watching at this ungodly hour?
In a city of that size there’s probably 100-200,000 viewers across all the stations viewers. But the thing is news is cheap to produce and they keep all ad inventory as opposed to splitting with networks. WPVI (ABC), WCAU (NBC), and WTXF (Fox) start at 4AM - ABC and NBC adjusted their schedules to allow this by making sure America This Morning and Early Today are available at 3:30AM. These shows garner enough viewers to warrant it. And most of the country has news that either starts at 4 or 4:30AM.
International News Presentation: Past and Present
Continuing the WPVI theme, note the modernised version of the Action News theme in the trailer before the bulletin starts here.

Not sure where you’re getting that from. It certainly wouldn’t give you any sway at the border.
I thought there was discussion about also working in the US. I was saying that they’re considered essential in the US.

Journalists in many jurisdictions if they have active press credentials even if they’re just an ITN ID they’re considered essential in the US.

In NYC there was a degree for journalists being essential workers.

There’s no specific rule but it is common and accepted in Washington DC. One station WDVM (which was part of the Washington DC - Frederick DMA ((beyond me why it’s one market as the mountains block DC coverage)) covering western Maryland, Virginia and WV) made News IDs for their back office staff to come to work in Washington DC.In NYC there was a degree for journalists being essential workers.

Are we not expecting any changes to ABC's from the one they used for Super Tuesday, then? Or have I just missed something?
NBC's Super Tuesday set (in the studio that's come to be known as 'Megyn Kelly's old studio') was nice - although they usually like a fresh set for election night, so it would be a first if that one reappeared.
ABC will be using that set built for Super Tuesday for their primary election night home. I assume maybe new larger desks around the circular LED floor or on the second level for additional panelists due to COVID safety guidelines.
I imagine a lot of these election night shows will also have people through our buildings due to COVID. You don’t want people moving in and out of the same spots without a chance of fully cleaning the area and letting air circulate.

The only election set we have not seen is NBC’s.

Fox was the pool, no clue what they offered. On the first debate they offered a switched feed an two ISO. I assume the switch.
I assume someone switched the M/E or input mistake putting Katty and Christian on air (someone putting their foot on the switcher).

Quite a few issues during the BBC coverage of the debate. Audio falling out of sync, at one point the video feed cut back to the newsroom, and a while later cut to coloured bars with audio intact. Not sure how much of this is exclusive to the BBC.
