Yes it does. MSNBC dropped the ticker a few years ago as they viewed it as a distraction to the content (and probably numerous focus groups said so - Comcast and NBCU love their data). When needed they did add it and all they do is shift everything up.

WSB records and delays WNT to 6:30PM, the show is fed at 6PM. They probably had the wrong video in the playlist.
Also today on WJZ there were some issues likely with genlocking (although the set displays were okay) with the PCR feed. There was a similar issue with audio and minor video disruption last summer that was caused by the last device that inserts the time/temp/ticker that is overlaid in master control. Today I learned although CBS affiliates are hubbed out of Encompass in Atlanta via command and control infrastructure (and I knew the racks are in the station) the master control switcher is owned by Encompass. Of course all the ad inventory was kept and perfect.

It had to do with church and state and they wouldn’t want one. I’ve seen some issues where they don’t like that the WH provides a preproduced webstream for there Covid updates and that it’s not fed on the White House fiber ring.

Is having them government controlled really an issue? The cameras in parliament are controlled by parliament, and other than being a bit conservative (small c) in their output, there's rarely any complaints or issues with the coverage. They're using the room for in-person press conferences, so it's not like they'll be able to hide what's happening in the room from the press if someone asks an awkward question.

I am asking this for the freedom of the press. The way the cameras are setup along the wall it doesn’t look like the average photog can setup their camera without blocking one of those PTZ cameras.
