This is appalling - the website of a major corporation providing all sorts of information and they've b****red up. Absolutely disgraceful!

Oh come on - calm down man. It's only part of the site and it's barely been down 15 minutes. What are you after, sackings or something???

Smile All right, that was probably heat of the moment - had to happen when for the first time all day I've managed to sit down and go online.

Fair enuff!

And just on cue, the rest of the site is slowing coming back up. Amazing, those BBC engineers ...

www.bbc.co.uk currently having some technical problems

EDIT: Even worse, they are currently displaying BBC News as BBC News 24!

Something pretty bad has happened - I can get the News/Sport sites and the bbc.co.uk homepage but nothing else.

OK true it is only a couple of sites launching this year BUT as far as I know and continue to keep in mind is that, although they have a wider demographic - that only applies to core content areas of news, sport, travel, weather and faith.

everything else is still youth skewed.

Nope. Since the last relaunch the sites have not had a youth skew.

The sites will be getting a new look (as they move into the news online content production system) by the end of the year.

Ummmm, no, actually. I think you'll find that will happen next year. You might see some changes to one or two sites before Christmas.

The 21-35 target audience for the english regions websites will stay the same.

Also wrong, there's no youth skew to the sites any more, they're supposed to appeal to a wide demographic.
