Oh it's wonderful isn't it. As VMPhil mentioned it's on Spotify and other streaming platforms, although oddly the original album it was on has the cuts between songs a second out so the version from the best of is better.

That extra bit of This Morning is magnificent, i've never heard that before.

Also that Better Homes show had a pair of joiner twins who went on to be the twins in The Matrix.

So when did this level of integration stop?

Metropol

So I've still got paul_hadley's upload issue to deal with but just a wee update on something else.

I've just deleted over half our users on metropol, 1038 out of 2026 if you're curious.

The citeria being
- never logged in
- had a spam link in their URL profile field
- never posted, and only logged in within 24 hours of registering never to return

If I've somehow managed to catch any very recently signed up users in this purge, sorry, but feel free to just register again.

This is from the website that nags you about a tv licence and saves your response in a cookie even though you have to log in to watch things

I have learned more about the current presentation of GMB in the past two weeks than I had in years since that thread closed. There is no ban on opening a new thread whenever something interesting (like the split screens) happens.

Remember the old ITV "theatre of news" did a lot of the dramatic camera moves and animations partly bc they couldn't do a clean cut and change the backdrop perfectly in sync.

Although obv that was 15 years ago. Might not be an issue now.

GMB using split screen for presenters

I think I'd prefer it if there was a line down the middle, just as a hint its being done. I think the HIGNFY windows are a bit too far down the zoom call route but I'm a bit wary about this as it seems a bit fake and, as suggested by noggin, perhaps sends the wrong idea.

It'd be like the occasional white flash instead of a noddy shot during an interview to show a cut. Just a hint that there is some tv magic here.

You know I'm enjoying things just as they are now. I'm finding the forum really easy to read compared to how its been.

I'd suggest that we keep the avoidance megathreads for now and see how it pans out? I'd have never known about these split screen things for nicer framing if they'd been buried in the GMB or This Morning threads. seeing it as its own I find far better.
