I thought rehearsals had been going on for some time already?

Nope - They start this week. I still have no news on the line-up.

Banks of desks with computers have already graced the atrium floor, which will probably be used as the results centre. Studio 2 will host the main part of the program - expect lots of VR!

There is definately something going on. Today's Lunchtime News began without the wide studio shot. Then, there appeared to be a strange object in place of the desk.. It has a sharp square like shape.

Filtering out the SH@T

I'm just wondering if there is a way by which the kids and idiots that frequent this forum can be thrown out and barred, and stopped from creating new accounts. The continuous creation of studid childish threads, idiotic comments and general annoyance has reached boiling point.

Surely a system whereby a MOD has to authorise an account before it is opened could be implemented. I know that old 'kylie minogue' forum had such a system before it became too busy. Perhaps this is too time consuming, whatever, there has to be a way to beat these time wasters - I for one am sick of trawling through the rubbish to get to something decent to read.

She did the both evening bulletins yesterday. I think Jane Hill is down for this evening (sunday).

Election 2005 -Pre-Election discussion here

The line-up has not yet been announced unless someone knows otherwise. My insider will inform me as soon as it has been finalised. I am sure however that the line-up has been drafted.

Following the award Alastair Stewart won this week, it wouldn't suprise me if he gets the main role, that is unless Jonathan Dimbleby is under some kind of contract.

Bets on for the following:

Anchor - Jonathan Dimbleby or Alastair Stewart
Political Editor - Nick Robinson
Politial grillings - Alastair Stewart (if not main presenter)
Analysis/Virtual Studio- Nicholas Owen OR Andrea Catherwood
Updates - Mary Nightingale

It think it is fair to say Mary will play a key role in this year's election. She is due to come back from maternity leave and IS their most senior female presenter. She also played role in the last election.

Any other realistic offerings. I think we can forget the possibility of Angela Rippon taking part, although the re-emergence of the 'old school' presenter is David Mannion's doing, so I guess we could all be suprised.
