Should the 1 and 6 O'Clock News be axed?

The 1, 6 and 10 (and News 24) should be scrapped, but only because they are turd. They are specifically aimed at idiots with little or no news content. Any real news is instantly jizzed over by music and graphics. Scrap them and put some rubbish entertainment on instead - at least there's little pretence of seriousness there. Also News 24 is like Deal or no Deal, about 2% something happening, 98% padding (just without Noel leching over anything in a skirt). No need for it.

Anyone actually interested in the news should find it by some reputable sources online, not spoon fed by morons.

Why did the arts correspondent Razia Iqbal report on the alleged racism on Big Brother? She doesn't usually do that kind of stuff. Do they use gay reporters to report on homophobia or a reporter with special needs to file something on bullying?

Horizon has adapted to match it's audience? Bit harsh since they aim it at morons. I don't think it's had any decent science in it for at least a decade, the recent one with the chimps was appalling.

The main point of the show is to manufacture tension and you're complaining about the outcome? This is fantastic telly, if you don't like it then don't watch.

Anyone see the new look?

Gimmicky, tabloid and condescending. Awful presentation with the usual 'reporter pretending to research' shots interspersed with 'emotive' music. Gurning Jeremy Vine trying to ape Trev' on the other side - not that that's a good thing. Psychic Silverton was only there to pout and look light-weight.
Oh, and they've sh*t all over the theme tune and the titles are as bland as the last.
If I'd not seen Panorama or Real Story before I'd say they were taking the p*ss.

Just beats the 6 O'clock news though
