In all seriousness if TV Live Forum does have a mocks section then lets all use it for consecutive criticism, sharing hints, tips and templates and not for slagging each other off. I know my mocks have been rubbish but making them kept me sane during some very bad times in my life.

I had to tell my story. Forums are chock-a-block of different opinions and "characters" and its that variety that makes them so vibrant but some people (and I mean across multiple forums not just here) seem not just to have no tolerance but no sense of humour. I'm not going to go into detail but I left in September 2020 because of the downright nasty response as well as the resulting sycophantic kudos to a joke I told.
Like the rest of you I have high hopes that TV Live Forum will be free of the poison but if I think anyone is being a **** to me I will stand my ground.

Reading through this thread has been quite interesting.
It has really surprised me to learn how many people thought they have been bullied on this forum, I think it's a sad reflection of our society there is such an intolerance of ideas.
I've never really understood the notion of getting wound up by an opinion of somebody you've never even met or has no influence over your destiny - life is short, I can't imagine there will be many of us on our deathbeds wishing we'd spent more time arguing over such things.
It's been nice seeing a few names in this thread I thought were gone for good. Hopefully the new place will have the shared sense of community.

I left TVF last year because of the bullying that I was getting. I had no choice but to go. It had got to the point where I was scared to post anything at all and it shouldn’t have happened. Those people should hang their heads in shame.
For me TVF was an escape from a lot of bad stuff in my life and at first it was great. But cancel culture crept in and the actions of a minority ruined my experience.
For my part and this is with hindsight i admit some of my posts were inappropriate but I always offered them in good faith. But that faith was destroyed but those who sort to shut me down and insult me.
As some know I’m autistic and that led to me grabbing the wrong end of the stick but that doesn’t excuse some people on here.
I’ve butted heads with some including asa and my namesake Neil Jones but to Neil’s credit he did pm last year to apologise for his actions.
Asa is right about the political posts and some of my post were that but I always tried to link them to broadcasting albeit in my own way but I will say that if Metropol was referred to more than the political views may have made their way there. I was on metropol but left after some of my posts were cut.
It is sad that TVF is closing and DS have butchered their forums. I hope that a successor will come along but without the poison

I’m sure you could shoe horn a mention in every thread, maybe he could get a cameo on Corrie, or do an act on BGT or be really creative and design an ITV ident

If it wasn't for Discovery being one of the backers of this set-up and Andrew Neil coming on board, Arise News would have sprung to mind.
I don't share TheSebastian's enthusiasm for the channel catching up with Sky News at least on a linear level. It may make some headway with the target audience online with clips on social media where those who are ardent pro-Brexit and anti-mask have thrived.
However despite who they're targeting, it'll be interesting to see if GB News can make the talkRADIO editorial style of news into the mainstream as competition for Sky News and the NC or if it'll be another RT, where it has a niche audience of anti-establishment and conspiracy theorist viewers who take in the editorial that suits the Russian Government perspective.
If former BBC/ITV regional reporter Anna Brees gets a gig on GB (she's been a guest on RT on occasion), who has rebranded herself as giving herself a voice to those the supposed MSM don't give one too, such as conspiracy theorists (especially anti maskers) and alleged victims of child abuse by celebs or in homes in the 60s/70s/80s, we may get an idea of where they're going. The journalist has also been given a pasting on Private Eye.
