NBC News, MSNBC, ABC News and others from across the pond

"Meet the Press" and all of MSNBC's shows are moving to 400 North Cap.

All of MSNBC's shows? Does this mean literally all of them or just the Washington-anchored ones?

Primarily, the DC-based MSNBC shows such as Hardball with Chris Matthews , Katie:DC and Andrea Mitchell Reports , plus the DC-based Morning Joe segments.

Today Show Aus Refresh

Wow they should have just contact NBC Today and asked for their graphic files and just swapped out the logo. Very similar. They even use the "Breaking Overnight" moniker. Interesting that USA tv still has a some influence on Australian telly in some aspects.

It's not that simple as sending graphics styles over. Remember, NBC and Seven, outside of sharing resources in terms of newsgathering, are still separate entities from each other.

Well CBS Evening News with Norah O'Donnell launches tonight.. I believe they will get a new theme too.

They will, and according to CBS News President and Senior Producer, Susan Zirinsky, the new EN will focus on investigative reporting.
Quote:
“We want to focus on the stories where we can add something,” Zirinsky said. “Do I need to give you a story that you’ve heard all day and there isn’t anything new? No, I don’t. Everybody on this planet is getting their news on their phone. What I do hope is that the stories we bring you are sticky — that they stay with you.”

They will also look to expand the show as well.

BBC World News: Reith look onwards

Nice seeing they even replace the logo on the multiviewer. Even PBS had the new Reith countdown which is amazing because for years after the move to NBH they were still using the old SD one. I got the times wrong on the launching of Reith thinking it was specifically at 12BST and not GMT. So the GMT launch mediaboy said was at 8AM EDT, however Reith launched a half hour before at 11:30 GMT.

The old SD countdown was used by the distributor of BBC World News across the PBS stations of the time, KCET Los Angeles. As of June 1st, 2019, the current distributor is WETA Washington D.C., one of the stations behind PBS Newshour (the other being Thirteen WNET New York). WETA also handles the corporate and foundation underwriting for BBCWN / WNA https://weta.org/press/weta-enters-partnership-represent-and-distribute-bbc-world-news-programming-pbs

NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC affiliates and TODAY

NBC have uploaded the West Coast edition of Nightly News.

The pre-blackout parts remain before 8:40, then Kate Snow is in the studio pictured above with the single screen talking about the blackout. It includes a clip of herself in darkness.

The rest of broadcast continues from that single screen.

Interesting @ 11:44 they are in the studio again in the alcove. On the west coast feeds they typically cut out elements and insert new ones. That segment was actually aired right around when the blackout hit - 6:47pm.

Looks like they dropped a tribute to a MLB player, Tyler Skaggs of the Los Angeles Angels, who died unexpectedly while at an away game. At the first home game his mother threw out the first pitch, the players all wearing his jersey, they won 13 and 0 and the teammates put his jersey on the pitchers mound.

It was interesting that they had scenic views of the western half of the country in the closing instead of the standard NYC skyline.

Some Western Edition newscasts would have scenic views of the western half and is namechecked as "the Western Edition" , as this open of the Western Edition of the CBS Evening News from 2016 that featured the skyline of Seattle

International News Presentation: Past and Present

In the US, there is a syndicated weekly television programme that is similar to Newsround...and hosted by teens as well. Meet Teen Kids News , a weekend educational newsmagazine that follows the FCC's Educational and Informative (E/I) rules*
The program does not allow the use of commercials nor the use of the presenters 's surnames. Some of the former presenters were the children of television news anchors and personalities. TKN was created by Alan J. Weiss and Al Primo, who created the "Eyewitness News" format popularised in New York and Philadelphia.

The E/I rules can be found here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regulations_on_children%27s_television_programming_in_the_United_States
