BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

Keep an eye on Points of View's Twitter account - they're asking for a few people's responses on the current ident set.

Is this absolutely true? I haven't seen a tweet for it.

Red Nose Day 2017

The crap sound has continued into Graham Norton's section I see. I assume the people involved in the sound have never worked on TV before?

And Lenny Henry has told the audience to shut up, just as I was about to tweet BBC One, to tell them to shut up. The Graham Norton Show should always have a great audience.

I think it's starting to get a bit funnier now.

Red Nose Day 2017

I'm too young to know what Comic Relief used to be like pre-noughties but this is awful. It feels more painful.

It was a LOT better than this.

After 14 years watching, my favourite Red Nose Day still remains to be 2003.

Red Nose Day 2017

Peter Kay flogging old material as per usual for the sake of a clip show segment, and what was essentially a plug for his show. I know the Car Share night is for a good cause, but jeez...

Her name is Luisa Omielan by the way, and I think she is way too nervous and young to start presenting like this. She's trying but everything else there is failing around her.

She's 35, I wouldn't say she was too young. But according to her Wikipedia page, she's done pretty much no television work.

Well, I meant at this early stage in her career. She should do much more than this, but she either rushed it and said yes or this decision was inspired by her BBC Three comedy special, which quite frankly would look stupid on the part of the BBC, although I don't think it's too bad at first glance, being based on her Fringe show.

Well, French and Saunders have got one thing exact. They don't know the lyrics to Shutdown and neither do I. But nobody there will get the joke so it doesn't matter.

Red Nose Day 2017

I can't wait for the TV Centre to get back into operation and they can bring proper warm up people.

Bizzare comment. A bad warm-up would bomb and get no traction or little responce with an audience anywhere. In a nightclub, theatre, sports arena or television studio.

If the warm-up act(s) get the crowd they are working wrong - then you'll have an unattentive audience. Doesn't matter whether they are in a intimate setting in a outside location, or TC1.

Well, I don't think my opinion is bizarre. It didn't happen in the Palladium last year, for some reason people can hear at better arenas and studios than this. That reason being they make sure those areas are sorted out properly for TV broadcast. I don't blame it on the comedians, or the warmup, this is definitely the wrong atmosphere for this type of event.

Red Nose Day 2017

That was the least amount of laughter I have ever heard, and I've seen an audience full of regular people lightly clapping to someone with a fanbase that isn't quite represented in the audience on a Japanese music show. Way more invested than these little buggers. I can't wait for the TV Centre to get back into operation and they can bring proper warm up people.

I don't think this audience have seen Toast of London

The more people aware, the better honestly.

Sorry to be rude, but I think these people talking in this nightclub is rather rude and uncontrollable.

BBC Two 2015 with 90s idents

I found a unused ident that was supposed to be used for the 2000 package from YouTube user Doctor of Gallifrey.

That would be too wacky and weird if I saw this as an autistic 4 to 5 year old kid, although it would probably softened the scariness that came from Predator at the time.

YouTube Gold

Why was that?

No it was quietly axed.

It wasn't rating very well and This Time Next Year is probably its successor in terms of it being a real stories studio show.

That's odd. It never seems unpopular in my eyes. But ah well.
