The local channel had changed name and ownership as to when I did the news piece. I shot it myself, edited and put it on my YouTube channel which they lifted. Common courtesy would have been to ask at the very least.
According to early data from Nielsen, 12.4 million people watched coverage of the House impeachment vote across five English-language broadcast and cable networks: CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and Fox News. NBC covered the proceedings on Wednesday afternoon as well, but Nielsen ratings for its coverage won’t be released until Friday.

Ugh. Vom+ FTVLIVE is reporting this gem. (if you didnt know FTVLIVE is the credible TMZ of the news business in the US)
Quote:
FTVLive told you that Fox News was shaking up their daily lineup and it might be just in time.
On Tuesday, at both 3 PM and 4 PM, Trump-loving Newsmax passed Fox News in the demo ratings.
It seems that Fox News's strong right-leaning stance is not right-leaning enough for hard-core Trumpers.
Fox News seems to be countering by trying to beef up its opinion side and adding more Trump-loving programs.
Martha MacCallum’s 7 PM news show is gone and will be replaced by opinion programming. Trump lapdog Brian Kilmeade will be taking over the 7 PM timeslot next week, while MacCallum is demoted back to the little-watched 3 PM hour.
NewsMax has Fox News scared and instead of trying to hold their ground with Journalism, they are trying to become NewsMax Jr.
I never thought I would see Fox News running scared, but that is exactly what they are doing
Just announced that Lady Gaga to sing anthem, J-Lo to perform at Biden inauguration. They are adding more star power to the rota. Makes the Piano Guys from the Orange Apparition's inguaration pale in comparison. Oh well.
Yeah whilst the lighting is exceptional and the set has those NBC touches, like the lit-up elements on the desk. I still personally dont like it. The "stone" columns in the newsroom merge together to make a visual beige wall. Nope not good. And when the camera was pull back and you could see the floor. It looked as though they were set up in an old bank lobby. Nope. There are some nice touches and its NBC News they always do great work and for what it is, of course its flawless, but I dont like the design and it doesnt fit with the NBC "news look". Such an odd decision. Its not a total disaster, but I find it odd and it makes me wonder who made the decision, because it so out of character for NBC News.
The concert, held on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, featured performances by Lee Greenwood (who performed "God Bless the USA"), Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, DJ Ravidrums, The Piano Guys, and The Frontmen of Country (Tim Rushlow, Larry Stewart, and Richie McDonald).
For context Obama had the following.
The concert featured performances by (in alphabetical order) Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Jon Bon Jovi, Garth Brooks, Sheryl Crow, Renée Fleming, Caleb Green, Josh Groban, Herbie Hancock, Heather Headley, Bettye LaVette, John Legend, John Mellencamp, Jennifer Nettles, Pete Seeger, Shakira, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, U2, Usher, will.i.am and Stevie Wonder.[3] Several of the songs performed had been used by Obama's presidential campaign.[4]
The concert also featured readings of historical passages by Jack Black, Steve Carell, Rosario Dawson, Jamie Foxx, Tom Hanks, Samuel L. Jackson, Ashley Judd, Martin Luther King III, Queen Latifah, Laura Linney, George Lopez, Kal Penn, Marisa Tomei, Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker and Tiger Woods.[3][5][6]

Attendance at the concert was free to the public, and HBO also broadcast the concert for free on cable television services on their usually subscription-only network.[5][8] The Associated Press called it a "near-flawless production with multiple camera angles and a majestic backdrop in the giant statue of Abraham Lincoln".[9] The concert was broadcast around the world. In Finland it was broadcast live and free to air by YLE TV1.[10] In the Netherlands it was broadcast live and free by Nederland 3.[11] It was broadcast in Portugal by RTP 2 on January 24, 2009. In Sweden it was broadcast by TV8. HBO released the concert as part of a 2 DVD set (including the Inaugural Address and Neighborhood Ball) in April 2010.[12] Also, it was shown for the crowd at Obama's inauguration two days later on megascreens in the hours before the ceremony began.
According to the presidential inauguration committee’s description of the event, the broadcast will resemble in tone what the DNC produced over the summer for their 2020 convention. They are also saying more performances will be announced in coming days.
“This inauguration presents a unique opportunity to spotlight the resilience and spirit of an America United,” said presidential inauguration committee CEO Tony Allen in a statement. “We have witnessed countless heroes this past year step up to the frontlines and serve their fellow Americans, so we are telling their stories, spreading their collective light, and celebrating the best of our country and its people with this prime-time program. Our first priority is safety — so while many of us will be watching safely from our homes, we are creating real moments of connection that highlight a new inclusive American era of leadership that works for and represents all Americans.”

FNC is not a news channel, its a selective outrage machine. (GBNews anyone?) Their president is possibly going to be impeached, for the 2nd time in American history and they only thing their highest rated "host"can talk about is CNN. What a sad, pathetic waste of time and energy to put this steaming pile on air.
Fox's highest-rated host didn't cover the fact that the President of the United States is set to be impeached for a second time tomorrow until 55 minutes into his show. He was busy covering topics like this first. pic.twitter.com/sGeulRQrB2
They seemed to be rarely showing news when I've been in US airports anyway- once the whole time I was at the gate all they were showing was a documentry on the Muppets. Seriously.
They are careful what they screen...or screened on CNN Airport Network. Thats probably why you were seeing a Muppets doc.

The goal is to inform, entertain, and not freak out the viewers. Whereas at home, you have the ability to turn the channel (or even the TV off), you do not have that choice in the airport. If a story is not family friendly or involves a negative travel-related story, it might not make it onto Airport Network. In the end, Alison is typically the one who makes the call if something airs or not. But in the cases where stories pop up unexpectedly, those in the control room need to make the decision on the fly (pun intended).
After 5 days hunkering down in hiding, the orange apparition finally speaks ( and he complains about free speech and twitter but the presidency has a friggin briefing room and the worlds media at its fingertips) and within seconds MSNBC immediately cuts away as he begins to lie. Unfortunately this is how they handling him now to add context and truth to the blatant lies the person keeps saying. Appaling.

Here a brief video tour advert. Looks decent. Better than those horrible stills images. Looking at this video this defintely looks like a private house was converted into the Big Brother house. Overall. Not bad looking.
So let me get this straight? There’s a French language version of Big Brother as well as the English language BB Canada on Global?
Yes the English version airs on Global and will return with BBCAN 9 late winter and early spring. This will air on NOOVO across Quebec and French Canada.

The last English production was shut down in March on Global right in the middle of the pandemic. Quebec has had a French versions before. They did Loft Story for a number of years (based on the version from France) and it was cancelled and then I know they did 1 series of Big Brother (based on the American version I think , I might be wrong) a few years ago. But this is first Celeb version of any language in Canada.
