North West Tonight

Gordon worked almost 365 days last year, so I think this has probably affected his voice. He takes much less time off than others, and presents 5 days a week!!! Saying that, I cant remember the last time Tina was off!!

I think that Stuart and Annabel should do the 6, with annabel on the 10 and stuart on the 1 as well, with Tina and Peter filling in as neccesary. Carol should fill the gap of head reporter, Gordon/Tina at weekends and Nigel on breakfast. Does anybody have any caps of the "Breakfast Broomcupboard" era??

Maybe Huw/Fiona will replace Sambrook, Dermott and Sian on the 6 and Sophie/Darren on the 1

FTN

Maybe they should do a news progoramme that differs slightly from other "conventional" bulletins. I agree with the 100% idea,I used to like that progoramme!

If Natasha, Anna and David go, I could see the following rota work;

B/fast:Mon-Thurs Sian and Bill
Fri-Sun Mishal and Simon
Reserves Maxine Mawhinney, Jon Sopel, Louise Minchin, Darren Jordan

1: Mon-Wed Sophie Raworth
Thurs-Fri Fiona Bruce
Reserve Darren Jordan
6: Mon-Fri Dermot Murnaghan and Jane Hill
Seconds Darren Jordon and Mishal Hussain
Reserve Simon McCoy and Maxine Mawhinney
10: Mon-Weds Huw Edwards
Thurs-Fri Jon Sopel
Reserve George Alagiah

Weekends (1 from) : Jon Sopel, Maxine Mawhinney, Louise Minchin, Darren Jordan, Mishal Hussain.

George Alagiah will co-front a new "Breakfast with Frost" Progoramme. The other presenter would be Peter Sissons or Michael Buerk, alternating weeks. George Alagiah would take on Moira Stuarts current role on the progoramme, as well as taking some interviews. Greetings, and the more high profile interviews would be left to Buerk and Sissons.

With reference to Anna Ford, I think she will be retiring at the end of her contract which I believe expires in Jan 2006, if not before. I would like to see Simon McCoy on the one after this.

Gordon Burns (NWT) is a presenter, not a journalist, apart from Moira all of the other main presenters have a journalistic category:-

Dermot Murnaghan - polotics
Darren Jordon - sport
George Alagiah - international
Sophie Raworth - international
Huw Edwards - polotics
Fiona Bruce - polotics
Matthew Amroliwala - international
Maxine Mawhinney - freelance polotics
Sian Williams - current affairs (I think)

Trying to keep track of what seasons of Friends...

I forgot to mention this before... every week of the new series so far, the end of My Family on BBC1 has overlapped with the opening scene of Friends on C4... every week. I'm not happy Evil or Very Mad

I agree with you there. Something for Terry Wogan to sort out?

Tina is becoming the main presenter at weekends. Nigel and the new presenter will do breakfast. What has happened to Martin?

I think before long we will get Annabel and Stuart on the 6:30 and Gordon at 10:25.

Trying to keep track of what seasons of Friends...

Channel 4 are likely to cut parts of episodes throughout series 4, they are all rated as 12, apart from the one with the free porn and the one where phoebe is suffering from hormones (and the one where the triplets are bringing in the f*** on her bladder) . The one with the free porn will not be shown, and i wouldnt hold much hope for the latter either.

ITV1 to show an entire movie without ads . . . tonight!

Nick Harvey posted:

After all, it's only a posh way of saying "our channel's such an anagram of carp that nobody's booked any ads tonight"!

thats odd, because carp is also an angram of cr*p! Laughing Laughing
