I dont have N24 so i wouldnt know about Jon... i suppose someone else could stand in for him though on N24, so it would seem more likely that we will see darren/george on the 10 (Peter was only on last week and i dont know what has happened to the buerkster.

We have Fiona all week on 10 next week according to the RT. It does not say who will be on on Wednesday, but I guess it will be Peter/Mike/George or maybe Darren again. Jon Sopel was impressive this weekend though, so maybe he will get a go!

I dont think Sian will replace Sophie, because she is likely to be busy with breakfast. I think a hint lies in the oscars coverage, so Jules seems to be the likely option at the moment, she is the only one without a regular presenting job, lets keep an eye on the weekends though. And as for the 1:00, I cant see Matthew and Jane being separated, so mabe sophie at 1, matthew and jane at 6 and george on newsnight or the 10?

Yeah she hasnt been on for ages. I dont think Darren should do as many weekends and should split the 1 with anna. He is good on the 1 but not at weekends. The weekends should be used to test for replacenents for Sophie. They must include:-

Jane
Julia
Maxine
Susanna
Manisha

That is true, on the other hand it is her first baby, and it is likely to take longer to get over it. she may also end up taking on the lead presenter role in a few months, it will become more difficult to stand to present the headlines.... in the same way that carol vorderman did on countdown....

I guess Sian is the most likely target, but there are several others who may be interested. This could be the "big break" for Sian Williams, Jane Hill or Julia Botfield. Who do you think?

Christmas Idents Thread 2003

I agree with you on the iceskaters and possibly skiing, but I think we will see a bit of the old ones. I would also expect the new news ident will launch either when the christmas idents come, or when they go in january.
