Thank You Asa!

Just wanted to add my thanks to Asa as well.

I still remember the very first time I stumbled upon this site all those years ago, and the sudden realisation which dawned on me - that I wasn't alone. There were actually other people like me, who were completely obsessed with all things related to TV presentation.

There's very little I can add which hasn't already been said more eloquently by other members - but always remember, this was an amazing thing you created and something which you should be rightly proud of.

THAT was NAT, the Inauguration is at 11am Washington Time, what is the problem? ITV News has very little budget, it's dusk when it went to air, without a fully working studio what would you expect?

Let's see if someone erects some lighting for us this evening?

No problem at all, just expressing an opinion.

And I'm well aware of budget constraints at ITV News as I happen to work there.

FYI, News at Ten might get extended tomorrow night.

Interesting observation. Hadn't really clocked that, but you're right - it does have similarities to the LWT logo.

Gutted to hear this. The man was an absolute legend.

And I'd definitely recommend picking up a copy of 'With Knobs On' to anyone who hasn't got one already.

Sorry to be pedantic, but I don’t think it’s possible for a feed to be both ‘pool’ and ‘unilateral’ at the same time.

If Sky are producing a feed on behalf of other broadcasters it is by definition, a ‘pool’ feed.

Whereas many newsrooms use ‘unilateral’ as a specific term to distinguish any additional cameras which individual broadcasters may deploy to an event for their own use, above and beyond the presence of a pool camera.

Just think the clarification is worth pointing out as it’s quite a common occurrence these days and other forum users might be interested to know.
