I'm more concerned by the gimmick of the presenter, presenting from home, using what is clearly a proper broadcast set up, and lighting. Unless of course C4's presenters are now fully skilled engineers and lighting directors. I can't believe it doesn't involve several people in there to set it all up?

The BBC is supporting another public service broadcaster, PBS, by producing World News America. It's not spending money supporting a commercial broadcaster, it's supporting another public service broadcaster, and considering how much threat public service broadcasters worldwide are under, I think it's essential that public service broadcasters get together and support each other.

How have they pulled that off technically? Is there a spare studio in LA and they have been able to pull in additional staff or is it pre recorded?

Somewhat surprisingly, I think CNNI's coverage has been far better than most. At the start they did seem overly obsessed by the 'Diamond Princess' ship but they seem much better at analysing and providing context and making the fact clear from fiction..
